How To Reach Andaman From Mumbai

away from the other coast of India. If you’re surfing the net about how to reach Andaman from Mumbai,

here are different ways to get there:

By Air: Daily regular flights between Veer Savarkar International Airport and Mumbai Airport are

available. Travellers can board IndiGo and GoAir flights from Mumbai to Port Blair to start their tropical

vacation and cover the Mumbai to Andaman flight distance of almost 2280 km in a blink of an eye. Air travel is the quickest way to reach the Andaman Islands from Mumbai. The average flight

takes about two and a half hours to cover Mumbai to Andaman Nicobar flight distance .

By Rail: Needless to say, it is not possible to reach directly from Mumbai to Andaman by train as there is no rail connectivity between Mumbai and the islands of Andaman and Nicobar. The cheapest way to reach Port Blair from Mumbai is to take Chennai Express from Mumbai to Chennai then take Go Air from Chennai to Port Blair. You can also take Sau Janata Exp from Mumbai to Ahmedabad then take Spicejet from Ahmedabad to Port Blair.

 

By Road: Only road travel you require is to and from the airport. Board a flight from Chhatrapati Shivaji

International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai to reach Port Blair in Andaman. Once reaching the Andaman

Islands, you can hire a taxi or bike for local sightseeing.

By Waterways: Andaman and Nicobar Islands by ship is the best way to travel to the chain of islands as you can explore the ocean waters and the scenic beauty of the islands. If you want to reach Mumbai to Andaman by ship, then you must check out the routine of the ships and the routes through which they sail. Andaman and Nicobar Islands are linked with Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, and Chennai through ships. Every month there are only three to four sails between Chennai and Kolkata to Port Blair and vice versa while there is only one sail to and from Visakhapatnam.

    We were 4 girls and overall we had a great time. Good coordination among the team between different islands, and they made sure we were picked up and dropped on time in different locations. The hotels/resorts have very odd checkout timing. Early in the morning at 9 or 9:30 and they are very strict a
    bout this. They do not consider any requests to extend this as well. Even breakfast should be finished within this time. Even though 2 of the resorts that we booked were said to be 4 star they cannot be considered as 4 star. My only suggestion would be to cross check on the resorts/hotels for the stay. Other than that the itinerary was very well planned and we had a good time.
