Once you book your night camping in the Arabian Desert with a particular tour operator, you will be allotted a pick-up schedule. Most of the night camping operators in the Arabian Desert organize a pick up for the tourists from their hotel itself. If your hotel is not on their list of pick-ups, then there are certain pick-up points assigned in various areas from where the tour operators will be able to pick you up and get you to the desert camping site. The pick-ups are offered from anywhere in Dubai including Sharjah and Ajman.

The desert area is not anywhere close to the city and is located at a distance that is slightly off the city routes. People are not allowed to access these areas on their own and hence you would have to depend upon the tour operators to pick you up in their special SUV jeeps that can drive comfortably in the desert sands.

The camp is right in the middle of the desert and from the car parking you may be transferred into another SUV that will drive you to your campsite. Walking in the desert is not advisable as the sand dunes make it hard to walk in the sand.
