How to Reach Binsar in Almora

By Air- Binsar does not have any air connectivity so the nearest airport to Binsar is the Pantnagar Airport. This is about 136 kilometres away from Binsar and would take about 4 hours to reach by road. You can either take a local taxi or even bus transport services are available.

By Train- The nearest railway station to Binsar is Kathgodam railway station. Many trains on a daily basis travel to Kathgodam. The distance between Kathgodam railway station and Binsar is 111 kilometers and can take up to 3 hours to reach by road. Hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Bisnar.

By Bus- There are very few places that directly connect to Binsar by bus. The nearest bus station which connects to major cities directly is the Almora district. One can take a bus till Almora and then travel by local taxi or bus service to Binsar.

By Road- There is a possibility to travel to Binsar via taxi or even self-drive. It all depends on how long you travel. Since Binsar is a Rocky mountain region, it is advised to hire a local cab or taxi as they are familiar with the roads there. If your travel is very long, then you may first reach the nearest destination by other means of transport and then take a taxi.

The first two days of our trip was a total waste of time because of the lousy cab that reported to us one hour after we landed in Dehradun. And after that he has no money to pay the finest as his wheel was locked by the authorities for parking over time . Due to this attitude of the driver ,we were delayed for our trip to Rajaji and further that delayed and we missed the ganga Aarti at Haridwar . The next day too the same cab driver was hanging around and we refused to go in that car . PLEASE NOTE- This can was different than the video and photographs of the vehicle that was sent to us before booking the travel agent . Finally Mithila travels agreed to send us a better car and said that we have to pay ₹1500/- per day extra .. When we demanded to cancel our entire trip and asked for refund .. this price was brought down to ₹500/ per day and we had to accept because we were just hanging around Dehradun doing nothing for two days .
