You can easily board a flight from Kolkata Airport and land in the Jolly Grant Domestic Airport in Dehradun. The time taken is 5 hours and 15 minutes (approx.) and the distance covered is around 1335 kilometers. Air India, IndiGo, Vistara, and SpiceJet operate flights from Kolkata to Dehradun. IndiGo is the only airline that operates nonstop flights between both cities. Once you reach the airport in Dehradun, you can choose to reach the desired destination by taxi or by a local bus. Note that the airport is situated on the outskirts of the town.

Kolkata to Dehradun By Train: The train from Kolkata to Dehradun covers approximately 1587 kilometers. You can either board Upasana Express(12327) from Howrah Station and reach Dehradun in around 29 hours or board Doon Express(13009) from Howrah Station and reach Dehradun in around 33 hours. Though the train journeys are long but are also the cheapest mode of transportation.

Kolkata to Dehradun By Road: The distance covered in the road journey is around 1548 kilometers and takes about 23 hours to complete. There are a number of Volvo services available from Kolkata to Chandigarh. You can even take a flight from Kolkata to Delhi and from Delhi take a bus to Dehradun. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. All the hotels we booked were excellent, and the service throughout the trip was very good. Our driver, Himanshu, was friendly, cooperative, and a genuinely nice person, which made our journey even more comfortable. Due to a planning issue, we could stay only

one day in Rishikesh. I would strongly recommend staying at least two days to truly enjoy the place. Kausani was absolutely beautiful. We captured stunning views of Nanda Devi, often considered the starting point of the Himalayan range. It is a place I would love to visit again. We booked this trip through Navicrow, and our agent, Mr. Yash Raikwar, was supportive. Just one suggestion: Mr. Yash, it would be helpful if you could answer calls more consistently. Even if a problem cannot be solved immediately, it feels reassuring when someone listens. After all, customer service makes a big difference. Also, for non-vegetarian travelers visiting Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Kausani, be prepared as vegetarian food is predominantly available in these places. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would love to visit again. The best memory of our trip was undoubtedly Himanshu, our driver. We spent a great time with him—he was friendly, supportive, and made our journey truly enjoyable. I would definitely recommend him and would love to have him again on any future trips. Another highlight was capturing the breathtaking views of the Nanda Devi range in Kausani. The scenery was absolutely stunning and left us with some beautiful photographs to cherish. The jeep safari at Jim Corbett was also an exciting experience and added a sense of adventure to our trip. These moments made our journey truly special and memorable.

At the time of booking, we had clearly opted for 2 bedrooms with an extra mattress in each room, accommodating 4 adults and 2 children ( anything beyond 7 yrs is chargeable as per communication during booking )This arrangement was explicitly mentioned and confirmed in both the quotation as well as

the hotel vouchers provided to us. However, during the hotel checkout at Avenue18 , we were unexpectedly asked to pay an additional amount of ₹2600 for one child, with the justification that she is 12 years old though other kids age is 15 years.This came as a complete surprise to us. Hotel explained that the one Kid's age was mentioned 9 during booking which has been done by the Agent but there was no communication to us .
