If you want to travel by air hassle-free, the most convenient for you would be the Jolly Grant airport, Dehradun, about 54 Km from Mussoorie. The main railway station of Dehradun is merely 30 odd kilometres from Mussoorie. If you are coming driving yourself or by bus, taxi you will be travelling approximately 275 Km from Delhi to to reach the take-off spot of you dream flight.

Shatabdi Express connects Dehradun and Delhi daily, which will put you closer to your flying spot in 6 hours. Dehradun is connected by trains to major cities like Chandigarh, Mumbai, Saharanpur, Haridwar, etc. In case your address of stay is nearer to the smaller stations reverentially unknown to tourists, there is Raiwala station at a distance of about 50 Km. And the other lesser known station be Harrawala, distant by Mussoorie at 23 Km.

More often than not, paragliders take off from the crest of hills where there are open skies and vast lands to land safe and carefree. And coincidentally such a setting is also apt for small or longer treks to reach up and then fly down. If trekking grabs your interest and is feasible for you, do plan the same.
