About Haridwar Tourism

Embark on a voyage to Haridwar in Uttarakhand, and grab a chance to experience extreme devotion towards the Almighty. Haridwar tourism brings every visitor closer to the essence of this city, which dwells in the ritualistic cultures and symmetrical traditions. Haridwar tour guide would suggest its visitors to witness the ever popular Ganga Aarti, which is one of a kind in the entire country. After the completion of worshipping River Ganga, the devotees offer flower garlands and join hands in the various temples situated here.

Religious Significance

The intermixing of the waters of four holy rivers – Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath flowing over its plains has been attracting people since time, immemorial. A Haridwar tour unfolds the religious significance of the pious pilgrim site which is the beginning of the Char Dham Yatra. Every year lakhs of pilgrims begin the Yatra from here to seek spirituality. According to the Hindu mythology, few droplets of an elixir which had fallen from the Amrit Manthan is the reason for the enchanted environ of this place. Since then, the most celebrated Kumbh Mela has been decorating the banks of the Nagdwara every year, which is the prime source of attraction of tourism in Haridwar.

Haridwar tour guide lists the most sacred ghat of Har ki Pauri situated at the Brahma Kund as the prime pilgrim site, and the most important Haridwar tourist place where devotees stand in the holy waters of Ganga and worship God with folded hands.

Besides the pious ghats at the banks of Gangotri, Haridwar harbors many historical monuments, museums, ashrams and is famous for its unscathed traditions. Haridwar tourism is all about visiting every temple which studs this Indo–Gangetic plain.

    • Trip to Haridwar

I had booked this trip for my parents and as per their feedback, they are happy with the entire trip (Haridwar - Rudraprayag - Badrinath). Initially, I was a bit skeptical to go ahead with Krishna Holiday’s because as per the travel triangle they have done around 87 trips so far and this trip was just for my parent who are a senior citizen and no one along with them accompanying, but it went well. My all thanks to Rinky Yadav who was managing the entire trip for us. She was constantly doing the follow up during the journey and making sure that they are not facing any problem. The Journey started with Haridwar junction station, where on the last-minute driver was changed but she made sure that another driver who was assigned reached in time for pick up and he was there for the entire trip and drop them back to Haridwar station at the end. Even assigned driver (Kishore) was locality and knowing the route properly and made sure that all the important place in the itinerary were covered properly. Also, due to landslide, their stay in Badrinath had to be cut short and subsequent accommodation had to be adjusted but again thanks to Rinky here, she made sure that all adjustment is done in time and same has been communicated properly, in short, it went hassle-free. Overall, it had been a good trip! Thanks Krishan Holiday’s and its entire team in making the trip memorable.

Bering a travel guide, it would have been better, if it was told in advance that their will be mad rush in Haridwar on account of the kagadimela, apart from road blockages. The advance information would have helped us to avoid unnecessary extra travel, wastage of time and money apart from long sitting torture for the entire families which has traveled almost 24 continuous hours to reach our natives. If their was advance information, we would have chosen separate tour through your portal only

    • Trip to Char Dham

Changes in the hotel which were confirmed - The hotel agreed on the voucher for haridwar for 2 nights were different from the one provided. The hotel for Kedarnath was cancelled and no other arrangements were made. All these things were informed after I reached haridwar. I was told to look for my own hotel in Kedarnath. Bad conditions of hotels- The hotel of haridwar was very poor in service and cleanliness. The bathrooms were not cleaned and cupboards were dirty. The hotel in Badrinath had it's Breakfast and Dinner in another building on the 2nd floor with no lift. False booking confirmation- Hotel in Mathura was not booked. Had to wait for 1 hour with family in 40°c before getting the confirmation that too after checking for availability in another hotel near by. Travel agent feedback- Travel agency was unapologetic about changes in hotels. They were very casual about it. I had agreed to pay the remaining balance using card but was asked to pay in cash. The travel agency owner and their employees had a complete miscommunication. I had to struggle to get cash from ATMs on the way to kedarnath. Had to take it from the driver at the end. Travel agent did mistake in booking helicopters. He managed to book it for only 4 instead of 5. It was not the issue of availability of tickets but he booked the 5th ticket with a duplicate name. I had to argue to get back 100% of my helicopter ticket price. I was assured to get my breakfast and dinner expense at mathura reimbursed. The amount was 1600 and they reimbursed only ₹1500. It is not about the ₹100 which is left but about their professionalism. My only motive to have everything booked through an agency was to have a stress free trip. I guess I would have had less stress if I had booked everything on my own. Would not recommend explore India destinations to anyone for sure. Haridwar hotel on voucher - Urmi actual - Park grace Kedarnath hotel on voucher- GMVN actual - cancelled with no replacement. Rudraprayag hotel on voucher - Sun international actual - Suri Driver was friendly and vehicle condition was good.

    • Trip to Haridwar

We had booked our trip to Uttarakhand in March through Travel Traingle and we got the best value quote from Trip Birbal. Deepak ji from Trip Birbal assisted me through out the trip and has been absolute help during the trip. We were a group of 2 families (4 adults and 2 kids) and a Toyota Innova was arranged for trip from Delhi. The driver was on time or rather before time to receive us and a wonderful person. He gave us pointers to good dhabas and restaurant on the way. Since we were getting late while reaching Rishikesh, he suggested us to take a mini halt in Haridwar and we got to see Ganga Arti at Har Ki Paidi. We stayed in Hotel Shivay (OYO) near Lakshman Jhoola. The room was ok. We had to start next day for Joshimath and we requested for an early breakfast which could not be accommodated. We got the breakfast at 8:15 AM but the breakfast was too good. Everything was fresh and they even packed a sandwich for my daughter for id way. Our journey to Joshimath started at around 9:00 AM and we took a few halts including the one at Dev Prayag where we filled a bottle for Ganga Jal. It was raining heavily and the roads are under construction so we took a little longer than expected to reach Joshimath. We called Himalayan Abode in advance and they were at the gate to receive us despite heavy rains. The food was homely with Fulkas and Dal. Very good food. When we got up in the morning, the view from rooms were superb with snow clad mountain peaks and Alaknanda river flowing by the side. Breakfast were delicios Parathas and Poha. We liked the home stay very much and the hospitality of the staff. The driver took us to few places in Joshimath including Dev Prayag, Joshimath Temple and Cable Car. We decided against taking the cable car and our expert driver took us to Blue Poppy resort. The service from Blue Poppy resort was lacking in quite a few aspects. Despite we letting them know in advance, our luggage was not picked from the cab for almost 2 hours. The rooms we were supposed to stay were not proper with bathrooms having leaked water. It took the staff couple of hours to fix that. The views from the resort was awesome and if I had to give ratings to the resort that would be only for these spectacular views and accessibility of the resort by the road. The staff was hardworking, very polite but may be they had reduced staff for some reason. They did try to take care of our demands with the means available to them. However, I do believe there was some area for improvement. They also need to clean up the cafeteria which though had very beautiful views outside, was filled with lots of flies inside the cafeteria. The food was OK and they could always do with few more food categories given it was a resort. The resort also has Hanuman temple nearby and you get to hear good Bhajans and Aarti during morning and evening. We came back to stay at Hotel Shivaya and we were given better rooms this time. The rooms on 2nd floor are better than the rooms on 1st floor. We ordered the dinner and were served with amazing food. We were told that our driver had a medical emergency and he needs to rush home so we would get a different cab to drop us to Delhi. We stayed in hotel Urmi in Haridwar and the hotel was good although about 3 Kms from Har Ki Paidi on the highway to Rishikesh. Food and Service was awesome. Rooms were awesome. Again Thank You Very Much Travel Traingle and Trip Birbal for arranging an unforgettable trip. Highly recommend!!

    • Trip to Char Dham

I have mixed reviews for the trip. Although, we paid for the helicopter tickets two months before time, but the tickets weren't delivered to us with no prior information. Apart from this, Haridwar: The room offered in Haridwar was not as promised (last minute change) Guptakashi: The room was decent, food was good but the room had no hot water (was given by bucket). But there were other rooms in the same property with hot water (which was promised to us as well) Joshimath: We are really thankful for this room as it was a last minute change because of our helicopter plan. Srinagar: The room was dirty and had no water. Although other rooms were fine in the property. But we were not given those rooms. There was a gap in the kind of rooms we were promised and the one we received. In Guptakashi's Lal Resort, the view, food were amazing with a beautiful aura.

Firstly, the advisor for Travel Triangle has not responded back to us in all the 8 days trip even on Phone or whats app. Even called customer care to raise a complaint, but even till today no one from Travel Triangle called till now. Not sure why an advisor is being assigned , when he is not going to respond any way. And issues faced during Trip There was a huge coordination gap starting from the cab on day previous to trip. First one cab is provided and that guy starts calling often to me asking to pay him though the entire amount is already paid to the Travel Triangle. And another cab details were sent in the evening before the trip started. In Rishikesh and Nainital hotels, the hotel team have not allowed us to check out as Amazing uttarkhand has not cleared their amounts and looks like reputation of this is not so good and they insist us to stay there until amount credited into their account as they may not get their money once we check out. In rishikesh, we almost waited for 1 hr coordinating with Travel agent, hotel. In Haridwar, the hotel is changed last minute, just before 1 hr of our arrival in Haridwar and Hotel provided was not so good. And staff behavior there is very pathetic. Not sure how the Hotel can be changed at last minute. Voucher provided is different and Hotel is different. Not sure what I really gained by going through Travel Triangle, who are proactive only till I paid the entire amount, and no one responded back later. My earlier trips with Travel Triangle were very good and hence I opted this, But mostly this would be my last trip with Travel Triangle. Not sure why the service of Travel Triangle has gone down drastically.
