Located at a distance of 35 kilometers from Haridwar and 90 kilometers from Mussoorie, Rishikesh is one of the popular Char Dhams that are sacred to Hindus across the world. The town is also gaining popularity for adventure tourism that is now being developed well, owing to the natural resources available here. Thousands of people from across the country and its capital visit the holy town of Rishikesh to gain some peace and for their overall well being.

Delhi To Rishikesh By Flight: There are no direct flights from Delhi to Rishikesh, since Rishikesh does not have an airport. The closest airport is Dehradun from where cabs are available to reach Rishikesh. Flights from Delhi (DEL) to Dehradun (DED) are operated by Air India, Jet Airways, IndiGo etc. The average flight duration is about 1 hour only. The airport is located about 45 kilometers from Dehradun, and is only a 1 hour 20 minutes drive. Delhi to Rishikesh flight distance is around 193 kms. 

 

Delhi To Rishikesh By Train: For those who wonder how to reach Rishikesh from Delhi by train, rest assured as there are about 21 trains from different destinations that can help one plan their journey. These are direct trains that have a pick up from Delhi’s railway station to Rishikesh’s railway station. If one is traveling with kids and older members, then taking a train is the most convenient option.

 

Delhi To Rishikesh By Bus: Travellers can board a direct bus from Delhi to Rishikesh from Kashmiri Gate ISBT at any time of the day. Regular Delhi to Rishikesh bus from state transport and private operators can be booked easily. It may take up to 7 hours to reach Rishikesh from Delhi.

 

 

Delhi To Rishikesh By Car: Travellers can follow National Highway 334 (NH 334) to drive Delhi to Rishikesh. A section of this highway has four lanes which is easy to drive on. It may take at least 4 hours to reach Rishikesh from Delhi by car.
