Information about Hanoi
Hanoi is an underrated city when it comes to being a travel destination. However, things are changing nowadays. With a lot of new experiences to offer to its tourists, Hanoi has become as welcoming as ever for people all around the world. From lovely festivals, Here is the Hanoi tour guide to help you with everything that you might need to know:
Weather in Hanoi
This backpacker’s guide to Hanoi suggests that the city enjoys a mix of temperate and tropical climate. The city is divided into three types of terrains: delta, midland, and mountainous. The changes in weather and temperature in the city are only slightly dependent on the type of terrain in the particular part of the city and are mostly dependent on the time of the year or, in other words, the prevalent season.
Hanoi experiences four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn or fall, and winter. The summers are very humid and are characterized by heavy and unpredictable rainfall. The winters, on the other hand, can be biting cold and the temperature may even drop below 10°C. Spring (from February to April) and Autumn (from September to November) are the best times to visit the city as the weather is pleasant and the skies are clear. Hanoi is also prone to cyclones. You can get more elaborate information about temperature, precipitation, and potential cyclonic conditions in the city from a detailed Hanoi travel guide.
Nightlife in Hanoi:
The Old Quarter is the part of the city where most of the nightlife activities are centred in. Hanoi nightlife guide lists a lot of nightclubs like Factory 47, Ne Cocktail Bar and Binn Minh’s Jazz Club. Factory 47 boasts of brick walls and comfortable sofas you can sit and relax in. If you are missing regular fast food like burgers and fries, then Factory 47 is the place to go. It also stays open after midnight, unlike other Hanoi nightlife hubs. Binh Minh’s Jazz Club is the go-to place for jazz lovers, and some international celebrities have performed there as well.
Food in Hanoi:
This Hanoi local tour guide gives a lot of weight to street food. Cafes and diners with cute little-painted tables can be found in every nook and corner of the city. Fruit and rice folded in banana leaves is the most popular Vietnamese street food option. There is also meat on a stick. Hanoi Pho (noodle soup) is a local delicacy that you will not be able to get enough of. The beef variant of it is called Pho Bo, and the chicken variant is called Pho Ga. Grilled fish with rice noodles is also a mouth-watering dish eaten in abundance here.
Shopping in Hanoi:
Hanoi is a wonderful place to shop in. Everything is readily available. Metiseko is a shop in Hanoi that specialized in silk products. Hanoi shopping guide is vast and covers affordable as well as expensive purchases. Bat Trang Ceramic Village is the place to go for a vast variety of handicraft and pottery shopping. Zeds Threads is a famous place for buying clothing made of natural fabric. If you want to shop for textile goods, then 54 Traditions is the recommended place. If you are looking for designer dresses or tailored suits, then you can pay a visit to Chula Fashion Showroom and Hoa Fashion. Long story short, you will never run out of places to shop from in Hanoi. A Hanoi tour guide will be able to give you even more information about the local shopping destinations to check out. Make sure you don’t splurge all your money on shopping though!
Festivals in Hanoi:
There are many festivals celebrated in Hanoi. Some of the most important ones are the Tet New Year, Co Loa Festival, and Chem Temple Festival. The Tet is the Vietnamese new year and is considered the birthday of every Vietnamese. The Co Loa is celebrated through cockfighting and wrestling. Chem Temple Festival is celebrated with dragon boats and kite flying. If we delve into the history of all these festivals, we will arrive at some interesting facts about Hanoi.

Trip to VietnamJudy from Asia Authentic went extra distance to accomodate last moment changes and made our trip extremely comfortable and memorable. Ha Long bay cruise and beaches in DaNang were outstanding. Highly recommended.
Trip to VietnamI loved how prompt the travel agent was. She was always available for me when I needed her. I’ve rated low for the hotels because of my experience with them. First hotel: Tu Linh Palace has ants in the room and on my bed even after changing the room. Second hotel: Duc Vuong was super noisy. I was given room on the top floor and at around 12am I woke up because I could hear noise from the rooftop bar. I called the reception and they came to my room at 12am offering room change. I was very tired and had a flight next morning so I just managed and slept off. This has got nothing to do with the travel agent. The travel agent Sophie was wonderful and she even met me and took me out for famous Egg Coffee
Trip to VietnamThanks for a memorable and well planned trip crafted to our pace and choice. All arrangements, hotels, tours and transfers were hassle free, on time, letting us enjoy the vacation without worries.
Trip to Vietnamthe only reason why I have rated 3 stars for hotel is because of the cruise.. cruise was absolutely not as it was shown in the pictures on the app which was a little disappointing. apart from that all the hotel booking were absolutely nice as per my budget and Jenny was there throughout to help with anything needed. thanks for the amazing trip filled with super nice memories!!
Trip to VietnamMy trip was very well organised and both Eric and Megha were very responsive all throughout. I have to specifically mention that Eric was a great organiser. He was always in touch and he personally met me couple of times during my trip to ensure that things are all fine. Due to unavoidable circumstances my previously arranged trip to Fansipan along with cable car tickets got cancelled. But Eric was keen to refund the money and provide me with the option to opt to another tour instead. All in all, I am very happy with the service provided by Eric and the group and will totally recommend them to anyone. All the Best Eric and Thank you very much!
Trip to VietnamThe trip was well organized. In fact it was one of the good trip so far. We got good service from the travel agent as well. Trip to the Halong bay was one of the great experience.
Trip to VietnamOverall our Vietnam trip was amazing. Sophie, our trip manager was really helpful from planning the trip till end of the trip and reply back for all the queries without any delay. But the Sapa to and fro bus travel was really tiring. Except this , We are really satisfied and enjoyed it very well. Thanks Sophie and Team.. :)
Trip to VietnamIt was a well planned and brilliantly executed. Jenny and megha helped me with the planning till the last moment.. hotel rooms were great and even got an upgrade in the later part of the trip. Halong bay cruise is a dream come true.. flamingo cruise was extremely courteous and prompt in service.
Trip to VietnamArrangements are good. Hotel at Hanoi should have been better Angkor wat and Ha long bay Vietnam
Trip to VietnamWe enjoyed our leisure travel to Vietnam. The Vietnamese English guides were profusely communicative and knowledgeable. The food was uniquely delicious and the best. The Vietnamese young girls are predominantly engaged in all businesses in the cities and are dynamic, enthusiastic, lively and hard-working. The French influence is visible in their urban lifestyle and culture. Kate Nguyen, our Go Asia agent in Vietnam was always co-operative and is symbolic of all that the country's urban young girls stand for. The cost of the trip was not as cheap as we presumed. The US dollar and not the Indian rupee is acceptable for purchasing the Vietnamese dongs in exchange. We purchase a US dollar for around 70.5 to 72 rupees in India and exchange the purchased US dollar at the rate of 1$ for 23 Vietnamese dongs.
