Information about Hanoi
Hanoi is an underrated city when it comes to being a travel destination. However, things are changing nowadays. With a lot of new experiences to offer to its tourists, Hanoi has become as welcoming as ever for people all around the world. From lovely festivals, Here is the Hanoi tour guide to help you with everything that you might need to know:
Weather in Hanoi
This backpacker’s guide to Hanoi suggests that the city enjoys a mix of temperate and tropical climate. The city is divided into three types of terrains: delta, midland, and mountainous. The changes in weather and temperature in the city are only slightly dependent on the type of terrain in the particular part of the city and are mostly dependent on the time of the year or, in other words, the prevalent season.
Hanoi experiences four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn or fall, and winter. The summers are very humid and are characterized by heavy and unpredictable rainfall. The winters, on the other hand, can be biting cold and the temperature may even drop below 10°C. Spring (from February to April) and Autumn (from September to November) are the best times to visit the city as the weather is pleasant and the skies are clear. Hanoi is also prone to cyclones. You can get more elaborate information about temperature, precipitation, and potential cyclonic conditions in the city from a detailed Hanoi travel guide.
Nightlife in Hanoi:
The Old Quarter is the part of the city where most of the nightlife activities are centred in. Hanoi nightlife guide lists a lot of nightclubs like Factory 47, Ne Cocktail Bar and Binn Minh’s Jazz Club. Factory 47 boasts of brick walls and comfortable sofas you can sit and relax in. If you are missing regular fast food like burgers and fries, then Factory 47 is the place to go. It also stays open after midnight, unlike other Hanoi nightlife hubs. Binh Minh’s Jazz Club is the go-to place for jazz lovers, and some international celebrities have performed there as well.
Food in Hanoi:
This Hanoi local tour guide gives a lot of weight to street food. Cafes and diners with cute little-painted tables can be found in every nook and corner of the city. Fruit and rice folded in banana leaves is the most popular Vietnamese street food option. There is also meat on a stick. Hanoi Pho (noodle soup) is a local delicacy that you will not be able to get enough of. The beef variant of it is called Pho Bo, and the chicken variant is called Pho Ga. Grilled fish with rice noodles is also a mouth-watering dish eaten in abundance here.
Shopping in Hanoi:
Hanoi is a wonderful place to shop in. Everything is readily available. Metiseko is a shop in Hanoi that specialized in silk products. Hanoi shopping guide is vast and covers affordable as well as expensive purchases. Bat Trang Ceramic Village is the place to go for a vast variety of handicraft and pottery shopping. Zeds Threads is a famous place for buying clothing made of natural fabric. If you want to shop for textile goods, then 54 Traditions is the recommended place. If you are looking for designer dresses or tailored suits, then you can pay a visit to Chula Fashion Showroom and Hoa Fashion. Long story short, you will never run out of places to shop from in Hanoi. A Hanoi tour guide will be able to give you even more information about the local shopping destinations to check out. Make sure you don’t splurge all your money on shopping though!
Festivals in Hanoi:
There are many festivals celebrated in Hanoi. Some of the most important ones are the Tet New Year, Co Loa Festival, and Chem Temple Festival. The Tet is the Vietnamese new year and is considered the birthday of every Vietnamese. The Co Loa is celebrated through cockfighting and wrestling. Chem Temple Festival is celebrated with dragon boats and kite flying. If we delve into the history of all these festivals, we will arrive at some interesting facts about Hanoi.

Rajoshree's 6 days trip to HanoiBooking our trip through Travel Triangle was a sheer waste of money. Had we planned the entire trip ourselves, we would have had way better hotels and saved way much. While, Ms. Alice from Bamboo Hat tours was very sweet and always eager to help, we received nothing much from Travel triangle India except the hurry for the first installment to book.

Mitaj's 11 days trip to HanoiAsia Authentic travel prepared a good itinerary for Vietnam, though I recommend one day more at Hoi An and Hue. Eric our coordinator is very easily approachable, helpful and was available at a message throughout the trip. Hotel at Hanoi was little disappointing but Eric made efforts and changed it to to a decent one. The cruise at Halong Bay was excellent and special thanks to Eric for arranging vegetarian food! Overall, it was an amazing trip, . Thanks, Eric!! Special thanks to Rakhi Nautiyal, Travel Triangle coordinator for courteous cooperation.
Aniket's 8 days trip to HanoiThe trip was very good. Everything was planned well except few things. At Bana hills we had to leave the place an hour early from the schedule time in the itinerary. That place is huge and even a full day would be less to explore it. But we were given only few hours to see all the things and so we had to rush to all the places there. The room on the cruise at halong bay was smaller than what was shown in the itinerary. Infact the cruise itself was changed so what I checked while making the booking was of no use. Though the was not bad but I think I paid for something even better. The activities planned on the cruise was not the same as mentioned on the itinerary. So they should mention what is actually going to happen there. I had lot of expectations but didn't get those experiences. Again at Hanoi city tour, all the places mentioned in the itinerary was not covered something else was shown to us which was not mentioned. At Hanoi they booked a business hotel for us which mostly has two single beds. So on our 1st night of stay those bed were joined together which was not at all comfortable. Later we requested to change the room and after returning from halong bay we got a new room which was a lot smaller than the previous one with a double bed. Instead we could have been booked a different hotel of same standard which is not a business hotel. Apart from this the trip was well. We covered most of the important places in Vietnam. We were given a hotel in Hoi An instead of Da Nang which was a great suggestion we loved the place and even the hotel there was good.
Knsadanandan's 6 days trip to HanoiTotally the trip was a good experience, Venus Hotel in Hoi An-Too small couldn't comfortably move around, also located far from Da nang city. Ba Na Hills, Halong Bay, Mekong Delta.
