Andaman Holiday Packages
Andaman Trip Cost: Budget, Mid-range & Luxury (5D & 7D)
How much does an Andaman trip cost? A typical per-person Andaman tour package starts around INR 8,299 and scales with hotel category, islands covered and trip length. The table below shows realistic per-person price bands for the two most-booked durations, so you can match a package to your budget before you customise. Prices exclude flights to Port Blair.
| Tier | 5 Nights / 6 Days (per person) | 7 Nights / 8 Days (per person) | Typically includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Budget | INR 8,299 – 14,000 | INR 13,000 – 19,000 | 3-star stays, shared/SIC transfers, ferry, breakfast, Port Blair + Havelock |
| Mid-range | INR 14,000 – 24,000 | INR 19,000 – 32,000 | 4-star stays, private transfers, + Neil Island, water sports, some meals |
| Luxury / Honeymoon | INR 24,000+ | INR 32,000+ | 5-star/beach resorts, private cruise/ferry class, candlelight dinner, scuba |
Hotel star category is the biggest single driver of price. After that come the islands you add (Neil and Baratang raise ferry and transfer cost), whether transfers are private or shared, the season (October–May peak versus monsoon discounts), and add-ons like scuba diving, sea-walking or a private candlelight dinner. Because every TravelTriangle package is customisable, you can move up or down a tier without switching packages. swap a 4-star for a 3-star stay, or a private ferry for SIC, and the per-person price adjusts.

What Your Andaman Package Covers: Islands, Beaches & Experiences
Most itineraries are built around three island bases, and you can add or drop any of these when you customise.
- Port Blair (your arrival base): Cellular Jail with its evening light-and-sound show, Corbyn's Cove Beach, and day boats to Ross Island's colonial ruins and North Bay for glass-bottom boats and snorkelling. Longer trips add Chidiya Tapu's sunset point and Mount Harriet National Park.
- Havelock / Swaraj Dweep (the beach heart): Radhanagar Beach for sunsets and Elephant Beach for snorkelling, plus Havelock's full water-sports menu — scuba, sea walking, jet ski, parasailing, banana-boat rides and mangrove kayaking. Kalapathar Beach is the quiet alternative.
- Neil / Shaheed Dweep (the slow island) Laxmanpur Beach for sunsets and the natural rock bridge, and Bharatpur Beach for glass-bottom boats and snorkelling, an easy day or two.
- Baratang (day trip): limestone caves and the mud volcano, reached by a mangrove-creek boat ride.
How to Choose the Right Andaman Package
Themes cover who you're travelling with. Three more things decide which package actually fits: your budget, how long you have, and when you're going.
- By budget: under about INR 14,000 per person keeps you in 3-star stays with shared transfers across Port Blair and Havelock; INR 14,000–INR 24,000 adds Neil Island, private transfers and a 4-star night or two; INR 24,000+ buys sea-facing resorts and honeymoon extras.
- By duration: five nights is the sweet spot for Port Blair and Havelock. Cellular Jail, Radhanagar Beach, an Elephant Beach snorkelling trip and a scuba day. Six or seven nights adds Neil Island's natural bridge or a Baratang day trip. Under four nights and too much of it goes on ferries.
- By season: October to May is peak, calm seas, clear water and reliable ferries; book early for December–January. June to September is monsoon: lower prices and thinner crowds, but choppier crossings and the odd paused water sport. Full month-by-month detail is in the Andaman travel guide.
Every package is a starting point, not a fixed menu. So, tell your agent the budget, dates and pace, and they rebuild it around you.
Best Time to Visit · How to Reach · Permit & Documents
Best Time to Visit
October to May is peak Andaman season: calm seas, clear water for scuba and reliable ferries. June to September is monsoon: fewer crowds and lower package prices, but choppier crossings. For the full month-by-month breakdown, see the Andaman Travel Guide
How to Reach
Most travellers fly into Port Blair (Veer Savarkar International Airport) from Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi or Bengaluru, then island-hop by ferry to Havelock and Neil. The package fares above exclude these flights.
Permit & Travel Documents
Indian nationals do NOT need a permit for the main tourist islands: Port Blair, Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) and Neil (Shaheed Dweep), but you must carry a valid government photo ID (Aadhaar, passport or voter ID) for hotel check-in and ferry boarding. Foreign nationals are issued a Restricted Area Permit (RAP) on arrival at Port Blair airport, valid for the main islands. A few areas (e.g. Baratang's tribal reserve stretch) need a separate day permit your package agent arranges. The Nicobar group is not open to tourists. TravelTriangle agents handle all standard permits as part of your package.
What to Pack for Andaman
Pack for beaches and boats more than for a city. In peak season (October–May) you'll live in light cottons and swimwear; through the monsoon, add a quick-dry layer and a compact rain shell for ferry crossings.
- Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses: the midday sun on open water is strong.
- Quick-dry clothes, swimwear and a spare set for wet ferry rides.
- Water shoes or sturdy sandals for rocky entries and coral.
- A power bank and offline maps: mobile signal drops on remote beaches and boat crossings.
- Enough cash for ferry counters, permits and beach shacks; ATMs thin out beyond Port Blair.
- Prescription medicines and a small first-aid kit: island pharmacies are limited.
- Your government photo ID (and RAP paperwork for foreign nationals).
For a fuller season-by-season guide, see the Andaman Travel Guide.
Why Book Your Andaman Package with TravelTriangle
Booking a package, rather than stitching together flights, ferries, hotels and water sports yourself, is what most Andaman travellers choose, because ferry slots, island permits and inter-island timing are easy to get wrong on a first visit. Travellers pick TravelTriangle for a few concrete reasons:
- Verified local agents, not a call centre. Every package is built and priced by an on-ground Andaman travel agent who knows ferry timings and which resorts actually sit on the beach.
- Fully customisable. Change any hotel, day, island or add-on before you pay, you're not locked into a fixed brochure itinerary.
- The largest real review corpus in the field. 4.9 stars from 23,483 verified travellers who actually booked, roughly the largest Andaman review base of any operator in the SERP.
- 40 Lac+ trips since 2011. Scale that means tested agents, real cancellation handling and 24x7 support.
- Transparent per-person pricing. Every one of the 105 cards shows a per-person price up front, compare before you commit.
Andaman Tour Packages from Your City
Every package can start from your city, we adjust flights and transfers around your departure point. Popular routes include Andaman tour packages from Kolkata, Andaman tour packages from Chennai, Andaman tour packages from Bangalore and Andaman tour packages from Delhi.

FAQs About Andaman Tour Packages
How much does an Andaman tour package cost?
Andaman & Nicobar packages start from around ₹8,299 per person and typically run ₹14,000–₹24,000 for a mid-range 5N/6D trip, excluding flights to Port Blair. Price depends mainly on hotel category, how many islands you add and whether transfers are private or shared.
How many days are enough for an Andaman trip?
Five to seven days suits most travellers. A 5N/6D trip covers Port Blair and Havelock comfortably; add 1–2 days for Neil Island, Baratang or extra beach/scuba time. Under 4 days means a lot of ferry travel for little island time.
How much does a 7-day Andaman trip cost?
A 7N/8D Andaman package typically costs ₹19,000-₹32,000 per person mid-range, and ₹32,000+ for luxury or honeymoon stays, excluding flights. The extra days usually add Neil Island and more water sports.
Do you need a permit to visit Andaman?
Indian nationals do not need a permit for the main tourist islands (Port Blair, Havelock, Neil) but must carry valid government photo ID. Foreign nationals get a Restricted Area Permit (RAP) on arrival at Port Blair. Some areas like Baratang need a separate day permit, which your package agent arranges.
Can I visit the Nicobar Islands as a tourist?
No. The Nicobar group is not open to tourists, it is a restricted tribal and defence area. “Andaman & Nicobar packages” refers to the Andaman tourist islands (Port Blair, Havelock, Neil and nearby), which is where all trips operate
What is the best time to visit Andaman?
October to May is the best time: calm seas, clear water for scuba and reliable ferries. June to September is monsoon, with fewer crowds and cheaper packages but rougher crossings. December–January is peak season for honeymooners.
Which islands should an Andaman package cover?
Most packages cover Port Blair (the gateway and Cellular Jail), Havelock/Swaraj Dweep (Radhanagar Beach, scuba) and Neil/Shaheed Dweep (natural bridge, snorkelling). Longer trips add Baratang (limestone caves) and Ross or North Bay islands.
Havelock vs Neil Island, which is better?
Havelock suits travellers who want world-class beaches (Radhanagar), the widest scuba options and more resorts; Neil is quieter, smaller and cheaper, better for a relaxed day or two. Most 6–7 day packages include both.
Can non-swimmers do scuba diving or snorkelling in Andaman?
Yes. Beginner scuba dives in Andaman are accompanied by a certified instructor and need no swimming ability or certification, you're guided one-on-one in shallow water. Snorkelling with a life jacket is also non-swimmer friendly.
Are meals and transfers included in the package?
Most TravelTriangle Andaman packages include daily breakfast, all airport and inter-island transfers and ferry tickets; lunches, dinners and water-sports fees vary by package. Each card lists exactly what's included before you book, and you can add meals on customisation.
Can I reach Andaman by cruise?
There are limited passenger ship sailings from Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam to Port Blair, but they are infrequent and slow (3–4 days). Almost all travellers fly to Port Blair, then cruise/ferry between islands, see our Andaman cruise packages for water-focused trips.
How do I reach the islands once I'm in Port Blair?
By ferry. Government and private ferries connect Port Blair to Havelock (about 1.5–2.5 hours) and Neil Island. Packages pre-book your ferry slots, which is important in peak season when they sell out.
Can I customise my Andaman tour package?
Yes, every package is fully customisable. Change hotels, islands, trip length, transfer type and add-ons (scuba, candlelight dinner, extra beaches) before you pay. Your assigned local agent rebuilds the quote around your changes.
Is Andaman safe for solo female travellers?
Yes. Andaman is considered one of India's safer destinations, with low crime and tourist-oriented islands. Standard precautions apply on remote beaches and night ferries; packaged transfers and vetted hotels add a layer of safety
What is the cheapest month to visit Andaman?
June to September (monsoon) is cheapest, with package discounts and fewer crowds, though some water sports pause in rough weather. For dry-season value, late September and early October offer lower prices just before peak.
What's included in an Andaman honeymoon package?
Honeymoon packages usually add a sea-facing or resort stay, a private candlelight dinner, couple-friendly transfers and romantic add-ons on top of the standard Port Blair–Havelock circuit. See our Andaman honeymoon packages for couple-specific trips.
Which is the best Andaman package for families?
Family packages favour a gentler pace, more Port Blair sightseeing (Cellular Jail light-and-sound, Corbyn's Cove), glass-bottom boats and calm beaches over heavy water sports with rooms and transfers sized for kids and elders.
How far in advance should I book an Andaman package?
Book 4–8 weeks ahead for peak season (October–January), when flights, sea-facing resorts and ferry slots fill fast. Off-season can be booked closer in. Earlier booking locks lower flight fares, which sit outside the package price.
Is TravelTriangle safe and reliable to book with?
Yes. TravelTriangle works through verified local agents, shows real per-person prices up front, and carries 4.9★ from 23,483 verified travellers across 40 Lac+ trips since 2011, with 24×7 support and free cancellation on eligible packages.
What is TravelTriangle's cancellation and refund policy?
Most Andaman packages come with free cancellation up to a cut-off before departure, after which standard charges apply; the exact window depends on the hotels and flights in your itinerary. Your agent shows the cancellation terms on the quote before you pay, so you can check them package by package.
