About Purana Qila In Old Delhi

Also known as the Old Fort, Purana Qila is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Delhi. Located in Lajpat Nagar in South Delhi, Purana Qila reflects the architectural marvel of Mughal era. Built by the Mughal ruler Humayun, Purana Qila was constructed to protect the city-ruins of Indraprastha whose mention is in the Mahabharata.

Purana Qila in Delhi is a remarkable edifice that represents the perfect mix of Mughal, Afghan and Hindu architectural styles. Purana Qila, an architectural marvel in Delhi, attracts thousands of all kinds of travelers from all around the globe. Adjacent to the structure, there runs a beautiful lake where tourists can be seen taking a refreshing dip. Purana Qila history is steeped in its every nook and corner. Every pillar of the monument depicts the songs of bravery by the soldiers who guarded the fort.

Boat rides or shikara rides are available at chargeable basis in the lake. Visitors take out time to enjoy the pastime activities. There are three grand gates in the Purana Qila such as The Humayun Darwaza, Bara Darwaza and Talaqi Darwaza which are also built up of red sandstone. While the Bara Darwaza and the Humayun Darwaza were the only two gates open for entry to the tourists, the Talaqi Darwaza still remains prohibited. Hence, the name “Talaqi” which is synonymous to ‘forbidden’.

    • Trip to Bali

Had specifically asked for candlelight dinner at beachside. Instead was given normal dinner in a restaurant. When complained, the reply was can't change now. The rooms booked at Kyriad villa were old and not maintained properly. Such room was offered to us, honeymoon couples. When complained, again same response, can't change hotel. In the name of cheap complimentary things they try to console. The images shown on website for hotels don't match the reality. Stay cautioned!!!

    • Trip to Tamil Nadu

I have given rating 9 instead of 10 because there is always a scope for improvement. My trip was from Bangalore - Ooty and Coonnor. First of all, I would like to call out few names here who where extremely helpful and very friendly through out the TRIP : 1. Karthik- I would say he was the show stopper for this trip because he was continuously in touch with me from the time I started to enquire about the trip till I came back from the trip just to check if everything was alright Kudos to him. 2. Roopa: She was the one who explained me clearly to choose the correct Travel agency by reading all the comments and ratings because I got cheapest travel agencies in terms of money but when I saw the ratings I thought I should go with TRAVEL TRIANGLE Kudos to her she deserves a pat on her back and definitely a Hike in the salary this goes to both Karthik and Roopa because they are the Asset to company they work for . 3, Mr. Imran - The Cab driver, I would feel bad if have to call him a cab driver because he was more like a family member to me through out the trip, my one year old son became closer to him within a span of a time because he was so friendly and polite and very good at driving. I will definitely choose Travel Triangle for all the future trips for sure. There were some flaws as well but that was not under any body's control so I would just leave that aside because I will cherish the Memory through out my life as this was our first trip with my son and he enjoyed the trip more than any body else, it was mainly planned for him so my trip was 100% successful. Thanks to Travel Triangle and all the people who where involved for planning a wonderful trip for my family. One friendly advice to who so ever reads this review please do not always think about Money because there are more important things to think about when you plan for a trip which is you safe Journey the place where you stay. First trip with my one year old son he enjoyed it a lot more of a family time that will be the best memory.

    • Trip to Old Delhi

Manali, Delhi, Mathura, Agra & Jaipur. At Manali, 3N stay was totally disappointed due to waiting for driver (Om Prakash) for pickup from hotel for local sightseeing 3 to 4 hrs delay every day which impacted on our happiness, like that so many other nonsense experienced with driver due to non cooperation, etc...... In fact it was total loss for us & while return from Manali to Chandigarh on last day driver again started playing with us without proper cooperation. When we contact Mr. Naman from Travelloa holidays for the same. After so many discussions with driver, his mood changed. Finally we reached to Chandigarh. Hotel Monarch Residency at Manali was not wrathful, no proper maintenance. We felt happy by visiting Rohtangpass with our own. Except this everything in Manali trip was irritated us. Travelloa holidays excused for the same & trying to resolve by arranging compensation for the loss? Delhi, Mathura, Agra & Jaipur trip was awesome. We spent quality time & enjoyed trip due to proper guidance of driver ( Thankful to Mr. Pawan) & hotel stays. My understanding on travelloa holidays is they are good towards Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, may be other places....but definitely they don`t have right agents at Manali. Thanks to Travel triangle & travelloa holidays for memorable trip.

I can surely recommend Travello Holidays if anyone in my family wants to plan trip. All arrangements done by agent are very good. Hotels booked by travel agent are good but there is no kitchen facility in Blue Bell Hotel so they ordered food for us which is not good quality. Except that All arrangements are good.

The Arrangements was done by agent was very good and response was very quick and very professional. hotel was very good at delhi but agra i can say it is average. about the cab was not great experience. cab was not clean and drive was not aware of places i used to put the navigation to reach the destination and also he should suggest the places to near places, but that was not happened i used to plan and according to that he used to follow. he was good person but navigation and places was very poor. and it was so hot and A/C in car also was not good condition . and also on High way he used to drive on 80 Speed because of that we missed to visit some places like vrindhvan , Fathepur sikari and also in delhi he used to deive in 40 speed to we missed some places in delhi too but overall experience on trip was very good . only cab and navigation was ok kind of experience. about the hotel stay at Delhi was very good and it was good Hotel. but stay at Agra was ok kind of experience, not so great. but overall good. thanks for all the support.

Travel Triangle is a great travel partner to trust. They understand our requirements and provide the quotes accordingly. Their customer service is excellent. The rooms booked was good and the cab driver (Saurabh) was really awesome. He made our trip truly memorable. • Trip to Himachal

Hotel in Dharamshala (Sai Taj Grand) was excellent with very polite staff. But the hotel in Dalhousie (Satyadev Grand) was horrible. The entrance and ambience was so poor that you wouldn't like to stay in the hotel. The staff was rude too and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The cabs AC wasn't working and hence it was too hot in Haryana and Punjab when we were traveling from Delhi towards Dharamshala. The agent (Guruji Travels) refused to accept its AC is ill functioning. The driver (Vikas Kumar) was a very polite guy. One of the best drivers that I have ever travelled with. He needs all the desired appraisals from his company. Guruji Travels needs to be o be more customer centric as they are in service industry. Should give a heed to customers complaints and should check the hotels that they are giving to their customers. Himanshu from Travel Triangle was very helpful in listening to our complaints.

    • Trip to Bhutan

My trip to Bhutan was very spontaneous. I had less than a week to plan the trip and make all my bookings. I decided to use travel triangle to find an agent as I just used the site before and was happy with the service. The first response I received was from the Bhutan Old Monk team and they were very prompt and helpful. As the trip was very last minute, I had just a few days to plan and arrange everything and the team especially Suman was really helpful with making changes to the itinerary as I needed. Suman was constantly in touch with me to ensure everything was going well. Even while on my vacation they were able to provide me with assistance when needed. Yadop met me on my first day in Bhutan. I requested him to change my hotel as the location wasn't convinient and he got it changed within a few hours. Jeewan was an exceptional driver/guide/photographer/genie (lol) throughout the trip. He was very helpful and even offered to drive me around in the evenings because I was travelling alone and he was afraid I would get bored. My solo trip turned out to be a lot less solo than expected but I really appreciated the hospitality. Bhutan is an amazing and wonderful country that I visited by chance because it was convince to travel to, required no visa and was completely safe for a woman traveling alone. I would encourage more Indian, solo, woman travelers to visit this beautiful country and experience the beauty and tranquility of the land of the thunder dragon!
