How To Reach Santorini From Kolkata

From Athens airport to Santorini airport, there are more than 8 flights everyday in the peak seasons, and even in the off seasons there are flights run by Aegean Airlines or Olympic Airways. There are at least two ferries on all days of the year from Piraeus port of Athens to Santorini. So no matter when you go, transportation to Santorini from Kolkata will not be a problem.

By Air: The best Kolkata to Santorini flight route is to Athens via Abu Dhabi by Etihad and then to Santorini by Olympic Airways. Lufthansa occasionally runs two-stop flights via Munich and Athens where you don’t have to change the carrier. The Abu Dhabi-Athens flight takes 16 hours 25 minutes. But if you travel separately, then till Athens it will take 12 hours 25 minutes and from Athens to Santorini it will take around 45 minutes. In between you can take some days off to enjoy Athens as well.

By Ferry: Ferries to Santorini leave mostly from Athens, and occasionally from neighbouring Greek islands like Crete and Mykonos. Blue Star and Hellenic Seaways lead the ferry service to Santorini. Both the liners have the first ferry between 7-7:30am in the morning on every day of the year. They add extra ferries during the summer depending on the crowd.

By Road/Rail: There are no roadways or railways to go to Santorini from Kolkata.
