Himachal Group Package

Rated 4.2/5 by 6,701 verified Himachal travellers.
Trusted by 40 Lac+ happy travellers since 2011. Free customisation, 24/7 on-trip support, and lower per-head rates as your group grows.

Planning Himachal for a whole group asks more than a good itinerary. It asks for rooms held on the same floor, a coach that fits everyone, and a per-head price that holds up when there are twelve of you instead of two. That is what these Himachal group tour packages are built around. A college batch trip, a corporate offsite, a friends' reunion or a three-generation family holiday can all start from the same itineraries here, then get re-sized, re-routed and re-priced for your exact group. Trips open at Rs 8,500 per head for a short Shimla run and stretch to a ten-day Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala and Dalhousie circuit for groups that want the whole state in one go. The bigger the group, the lower the per-head rate, and groups past a dozen travellers usually get a dedicated coordinator on the ground. Pick a departure below, or send your group size and rough dates and a planner will shape one around you.

Detail What to expect
Price from Rs 8,500 per head (2N/3D Shimla); Rs 45,500 per head for the full 9N/10D circuit
Trip lengths 2N/3D weekend runs up to 9N/10D grand circuits
Best for Friends, college batches, corporate offsites, family reunions
Group size Runs from about 6 travellers; best per-head rate and a coordinator around 10+
Best months March to June and September to October for open roads and snow-capped views
Included Hotels, daily breakfast, private transfers, sightseeing; flights or train optional

Per-head rates fall as the group grows and depend on hotel category and season. Ask your planner for the current group rate for your exact size and dates.

Bestselling Himachal Group Departures

These are the routes that work best for a group: hotels that can hold a block of rooms, roads a tempo-traveller or coach can handle, and a mix of hill stations that keeps a mixed-age group happy. Every one can be customised, and the per-head price shown is the starting land rate before any group discount.

Group trip Nights Covers From (per head) Best for
Shimla weekend group getaway 2N/3D Shimla Rs 8,500 Short college / office trips
Shimla Kullu Manali group tour 5N/6D Shimla, Manali, Chandigarh Rs 24,000 Friends and family groups
Shimla Manali group tour 5N/6D Shimla, Manali Rs 34,560 Groups wanting longer stays
Grand Himachal group circuit 9N/10D Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Dalhousie Rs 45,500 Reunions and corporate offsites

Want a shorter or single-hill trip instead? Browse the full Himachal tour packages and tell your planner to size it for a group.

Group Tour Price by Size and Duration

A group of twelve pays less each than a group of four on the same itinerary. The list rates above are the starting per-head figures. As the group grows, the per-head cost drops, and past a certain size the trip usually earns a free coordinator seat and priority room blocking. Bands below are indicative; your planner confirms the current group rate for your size, dates and hotel category.

Group size What changes on the per-head rate
4 to 6 travellers Standard per-head list rate, any itinerary bookable
7 to 12 travellers Lower per-head rate, easier room blocking, one coordinator on request
13+ travellers Best per-head rate, dedicated coordinator, priority hotel and transport holds

The final quote also moves with season (peak snow weeks cost more than the shoulder months) and whether you add return flights or the Kalka to Shimla train. Land-only keeps the per-head figure lowest.

Fixed-Departure Group Batches

If your group would rather join a set batch than build a trip from scratch, we run fixed-departure Himachal group tours through the two peak windows: roughly March to June, when the passes reopen and Solang and Rohtang fill with snow-play, and September to October, when the valleys are clear and green after the monsoon. Solo travellers and small groups of two or three can join these batches and still get the group per-head rate. Ask your planner for the next confirmed departure dates for your preferred route.

How to Choose the Right Group Tour

By who is travelling

A friends' or college group usually wants Manali and Kasol for the adventure and the nightlife, so a 5N/6D Shimla-Manali run fits. A corporate offsite leans on Shimla or Dharamshala for the conference-friendly hotels and shorter transfers. A family reunion with elders does best on the gentler Shimla-Kufri-Chail loop with fewer long drives.

Compare the Himachal friends packages and Himachal family packages if your group skews one way, then ask to convert it to a group departure.

By budget

The 2N/3D Shimla trip from Rs 8,500 per head keeps a large budget-conscious group inside a tight number. Mid-range groups land on the 5N/6D Shimla-Manali circuits. Bigger reunion or corporate budgets stretch to the 9N/10D four-hill circuit with 4-star stays.

By duration

A long weekend (2N/3D) covers one hill station, usually Shimla. Five to six nights is the sweet spot for a group: enough for Shimla and Manali with a day in Solang. Nine to ten nights adds Dharamshala and Dalhousie for groups that have travelled far and want the whole state.

By season

Snow-play groups come December to February; green-valley and trekking groups come September to October. For a full month-by-month read, see the Himachal travel guide.

Best Group Routes and Things to Do in Himachal

Himachal is wide, but a handful of places carry almost every group trip. Here is what each adds and who it suits, kept short so you can build a route fast.

Shimla

The easiest group base: the Kalka to Shimla toy train, colonial Mall Road, the Ridge and Jakhoo Hill, plus day trips to Kufri and Chail. Roads and hotels here handle coaches, which is why most large groups start in Shimla.

Manali

The adventure anchor for friends' groups: paragliding and skiing at Solang, river rafting on the Beas, the Hadimba temple, and the Rohtang or Atal Tunnel run for snow. Book Manali early in peak weeks; group rooms go fast.

Dharamshala and McLeodganj

Tibetan monasteries, the Tsuglagkhang complex, the Triund trek for fitter groups, and a calmer pace that suits family and corporate trips.

Kasol and Kullu

Kasol and Parvati Valley draw backpacking and friends' groups for cafes, riverside camping and the Kheerganga trek. Kullu adds rafting and the Great Himalayan National Park.

Dalhousie and Khajjiar

Quiet colonial charm and the wide Khajjiar meadow, an easy add-on for longer circuits and reunion groups who want space to spread out.

A practical note on getting there: most groups fly into Chandigarh and drive up, or take the Kalka to Shimla narrow-gauge train. Very large coaches struggle on the high Spiti and Rohtang roads, so keep those for smaller vehicles.

Best Time for a Group Trip

October to February shows Himachal at its snow-dusted best and suits groups chasing snow-play at Solang. March to June brings pleasant days, open passes and orchards in fruit, the easiest window for a large mixed group. The monsoon months carry a landslide risk on hill roads, so most groups avoid July and August. For the full seasonal breakdown, read the Himachal travel guide.

Why Book Your Himachal Group Tour With Us

A group trip has more that can go wrong than a couple's holiday: more rooms, more seats, more people who need the same booking to hold. This is where the numbers matter. TravelTriangle has planned trips for 40 Lac+ travellers since 2011, and this page carries a 4.2/5 rating from 6,701 real Himachal reviews, not seeded ones.

One booking, held as one. Rooms are blocked together and transport is sized to your group, not split across vehicles.

Customisable. Every itinerary here can be re-routed, re-timed and re-priced for your group's pace and budget.

Group rates and a coordinator. Larger groups get a dedicated coordinator on the ground and priority hotel holds.

Backed by the trust corpus. A verified agent network, 24/7 on-trip support, and real reviews from real group bookers.

"For a group over ten, lock the Shimla and Manali hotels a month ahead in peak season. That is the single thing that keeps everyone on one floor and the price steady," says the lead planner on our Himachal group desk.

Group rates and inclusions on this page are checked by our Himachal travel desk before we quote your trip.

Mohitmotwani's 6 days trip to Himachal

Our trip with Travel Triangle was excellent overall. The hotel selections were great, and special thanks to our travel agent Sandeep for his efforts in making our journey memorable and well organized. Our driver Piyush was humble, professional, and made our trip comfortable and enjoyable. However, t
he experience took a disappointing turn on the last day when a different driver was assigned, and the decline in service quality unfortunately affected an otherwise wonderful trip. We hope Travel Triangle maintains consistent service standards throughout the journey, as the last impression matters the most.
