If travelling from Shimla to Kullu, it is important to know the following information that can help to know about how to reach Kullu from Shimla by using various modes of transport.

 

Shimla To Kullu By Air: To travel from Shimla to Kullu by air, take a flight from the Shimla Airport (SLV) which is located at a distance of 22 kms from the main city. The airport is operated by the Airports Authority of India and has a single runway. One can take a flight from SLV to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) or Chandigarh International Airport to travel to Kullu as there are no direct flights operating between the two cities.

 

Shimla To Kullu By Train: As there are no direct trains to travel from Shimla to Kullu, travelers can take a train till Chandigarh or Delhi and then travel to Jogindernagar Railway Station which happens to be the nearest railway station to Kullu, which is located at a distance of 125 km from the place.  

 

 

Shimla To Kullu By Road: The distance between Shimla and Kullu is 235 km. This is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to reach Kullu from Shimla. The first bus that departs from Shimla to Kullu is the HIM Mani Deluxe which is operated by HRTC and it departs at 8 AM. The duration of trip can be about 6 hours and 30 minutes when one travels from Shimla to Kullu by bus.

I want to give 1 star but feedback is not submitting below 3 stars so i have to give them 3 stars forcefully. I did not attend the Himachal trip, not by choice, but because of the serious and unforeseen geopolitical situation that made travel unsafe and impossible. Despite reaching out via email for clarity and support, I received no timely or responsible response from your team. Flights were canceled, regions like Shimla and Dharamshala were under high alert, and travel was clearly not feasible. In such circumstances, citing standard cancellation policies and offering only a credit note is highly disappointing and insensitive. This experience reflects a lack of seriousness in handling customer communication and crisis situations. I expected better professionalism and empathy. I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously and improve your communication, support, and refund policy handling in future cases.
