  • Pack your own food and take it on this train ride as there is only one tea stall at Kalka.
  • If you are visiting Shimla during the tourist season from May to July, September to October and December and January, make sure you book these trains in advance.
  • You can make reservations for travelling on the Himalayan Queen, Rail Motor Car and Shivalik Deluxe Express services at the Indian Railways booking offices or the Indian Railways website.

    Basic amenities were not provided by hotel like towel and morning kit. And for travel triangle team when you already knew that our train time for next is around 2 pm then also you have arranged the bus which dropped us 5.30am. It was painful spending time at railways for around 7 hours.

    The trip was amazing because of the driver. He is very polite and friendly. Also the travel agents are good. But the hotels are not good only the hotel pinewood is really good and the the other hotels are not good and the worst thing is in candle light dinner we ate roti and Shimla mirch ki sabji. I
    would like to tell the travel agents to change the choice of hotel for others. I would not prefer hotel cedar house in Dalhousie and hotel sky lark in dharamsala. Otherwise the trip was good
