Smoking is legal in certain places in UAE (except for Sharjah). Since 2008, there have been bans on smoking in enclosed public places such as malls, restaurants, offices, cafeterias, and hotel lobbies. Also, under a January 2010 law, smoking was banned while driving a vehicle in the company of a child under 12 years of age.

While normal tourist photography is acceptable, it is polite to ask permission before taking photos of people, particularly women. Photographs of government buildings, military installations, ports, and airports should not be taken.

The currency in the United Arab Emirates is Dirham, commonly referred to as the Dh. The Dh is pegged to the US dollar, and the US exchange rate is currently US$1 = Dh 3.67. (The exchange rate is subject to change).

Most shops, hotels, and restaurants in Abu Dhabi accept major credit and debit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. It is prudent to confirm acceptance of credit card or debit card payments with staff, especially if there is no visible signage indicating acceptance of credit card payment at the store premises or the till/counter.

When offered a price – especially if the price is not listed, tourists should ask for the ‘best price’. With some negotiation, travelers can get quoted prices almost halved.

Aarti's 7 days trip to Dubai

I have used travel triangle thrice before and have always loved the experience; however this time I hit a few road bumps; The hotel was comfortable as it was Hilton, however it was a self service hotel with no room service or in room dining, I had made it clear right at the time of booking, that I have two senior citizens and a 3.5 year old kid travelling; yet I was not informed that its a self service hotel(Neither verbally or in the description shared of the hotel in the quote); I would have selected an appropriate option. Coming to the tours - the agents in Dubai were helpful and proactive; The desert safari was AMAZING so was the Abu Dhabhi tour with an exception that we had only 45 mins at Sheikh Zayda Mosque and I got to know this only one day before my tour !! There were a few hickups on other days too - the ground team especially the what app group that was created by Travel Triangle, not very helpful - as an example - for my dhow cruise, I was on ready time however I didn't get the seating in upper deck; this was day 1 - The Dhow cruise guys said for upper deck one needs to reserve - I was not given this information -When coordinating with the agents in Dubai, they said talk to Travel Traingle, when coordinating with Ground team of Travel Traingle, they said talk to your post sale agent, when I reached out to the Post sale agent( no response) so I reached out to the Pre- sale agent who again gave no response(he was very pro-active on chat till I paid up - regular follow-ups and reminders). This was not good, especially got me worried that if this is the treatment I get on day one, whats rest of my trip gonna be like ! I don't want to be co-coordinating with a dozen people on my vacation; and If that's what I have to do, why do I need Travel Triangle?!?!?! One of the days the driver was late by 5-7 mins and while I have the 15 min window he starts to pressurize about where are other folks - my mom had some leg pain that day so was walking real slow. I suggest you make your itenary more detailed so one is prepared and not shocked by surprises !!

Mehak's 7 days trip to Dubai

Hi, I went to the trip of 7 days and 6 nights to Dubai booked from ittiba holidays via travel triangle. Initially the response of travel agent was very instant but when we made the complete payment the response time started increasing. Representative I was talking to also changed just 15 days before the trip.Earlier Fatima was coordinating with us and she was responding fine then suddenly she started not picking up the call at all and A guy named Sagar came into the picture from ittiba holidays. Sagar made worst before trip experience for us. He wasn't able to give us proper dates for providing hotel vouchers, Visa, itenary updates etc. Every time I would ask him he would give same reply it's in process . He booked only 1 hotel room instead to 2 for 4 people and when I asked him to change and provide the update ,for 15 days he was saying in process and finally he changed our hotel 2 days before the trip saying previous hotel only has connected room. Our flight reached airport at 9:25 am and he provided us with the taxi at 11:00am so we had to wait on airport approx 1 hr. When we reached hotel , receptionist denied us to give the hotel room before 3:00pm. After that Dubai itenary was fine except Abu Dhabi tour day where we reached bur Dubai around 9:00pm and they dropped us at the end to our hotel at 10 : 30 pm which should have been 9:15pm. Last day for airport transfers our flight was at 10: 20pm so I asked Sagar from ittiba holidays to schedule the pick up from hotel at 6:45 pm and he said it will be done and never passed any information to driver . Ultimately when I called driver at 7:00pm to ask the whereabouts he replied he was informed by travel agent to come at 7:30 pm. Over all, Dubai was fantastic but response from Ittiba holidays was pathetic after taking the whole payment in advance. Please don' t pay all money in advance. Desert safari was fun. Burj Khalifa and Dubai city tour was awsome. We really enjoyed at Ferrari World, altantis Aquaventure , Miracle Garden and Global village. Visity the grand Mosque at Abu Dhabi was fun. So we have many nice memories and pictures from the trip.

Rakesh's 6 days trip to Dubai

My Dubai trip, first international our and it was worth going there. All thanks to TT Team(Sh Sanskar Singh ) & Tripme Team(Sh Singhji & Sh Raaj Bedi). Hotel stay & Location was excellent, Will recommend Tulip Hotel for stay to Indian people. Cab booking & Tour cordination was fantastic. BBQ Dinner was bad at Dhow Cruise & Sand Dunes, May be considered as area of improvement. A day was kept as leisure helped me to explore Local markert-Gold Souq & Global Villgae that was not included in my Pkg, But its worth Going there. My mistakes - I didnt had an active internet sim (Which was required as Trip me team was serving all help thru Wats app 24*7). Local plans are costly in Dubai for internet & Calling. Do your home work before.Secondly take sufficient local currency.Rest all was amazing & Never forgettable experience right from Dhow Cruise to Sand dunes to Burf, Dubai Mall & Palm Jumeriah. Global village & Miracle garden & City tour with Abu dhabi tour. A must visit to engineering marvel ..where all things are man made and surpasses all imagination of common man. Thank You. Will surely plan other trips with same team.

Shatabdi's 11 days trip to Egypt

We went to Egypt and Jordan and we had an overall ok experience and honestly the experience would have been more or less same if we would have planned the holiday ourselves instead of hiring a travel agent. Although I must mention that the Jordan leg was way better then Egypt , long story short the agents did't add much value and I would rather recommend to plan the trip yourself. Below is the detailed feedback What worked well a. Guides in Alexendria , Cairo , Abu Simbel and Luxor - Guides in all these 4 locations were great. They took us around all the spots and explained us the history and significance of those spots very well. b. Awesome Jordanian experience thanks to Travanco and Mr Wahid (our driver cum guide) - The Jordanian experience was amazing and everything was well planned. Starting from the visa assistance in Amman airport to hotels and site seeing in Petra and Wadi rum. A special call out to Mr Wahid who was amazing. c. Assistance provided by Mr Sumit and Mr Karan with Jordanian visa - Apprently the Jordanian visa rules had changed for Indians by the time we travelled and we were not allow to board our flight from Mumbai because of that. And while it was a shocker for us to know that the travel agent did't know about the change (see below for details) , it was good to have Mr Sumit and Mr Karan providing adequate support in ensuring we are able to travel to the country as a part of our plan. In other words they were able to make arrangements in short timeframe which ensured that we were able to get into Jordan , although that cost us an additional 120 USD overall. d. Hotels - Overall the hotels in Egypt and Jordan were great. What did't go well a. Visa assistance (before travel) with Jordanian visa - Although Mr Sumit and Mr Karan were able to make arrangements to allow us enter Jordan , it was surprise to see that they were not aware of the changes to the Jordanian visa policy. When we hire travel agents to help us with holidays , we expect them to be up to date with the visa policy changes etc for the destination country. Eventually because of this we had to have an additional 120 USD added to the cost and not to mention go through some tense moments. I would like to state that we did ask for the Jordanian visa assistance in last week of December itself , after we got our Egyptian visa well before our travel dates to Mr Yatharth as well as Mr Sumit , and we were told that its visa on arrival so we should not worry. But Jordan had changed their visa policy early december and they were not aware of it. Eventually they mentioned that its airline's responsibility to inform passengers but I dont think I can buy that. Anyways all is well that ends well as we were able to make it to Jordan eventually - thanks to the last minute effort from Mr Sumit and Karan. Having said that they can act more professional for future and keep themselfs updated with the visa policy changes. b. Lack of clarity on cash requirements - We had asked time and again to Mr Yatharth how much of cash shall we carry and we were told that we just have to carry cash worh 20,000 INR. But well guess even they are not aware of the fact that credit cards are not widely accepted in Egypt , or they just casually replied - neverthless it was quite unprofessional as we had to make multiple ATM withrawals for cash in Egypt. Also suddenly in the tour Mr Ali (Egyptian counterpart of flying feet) asked for an additional 80 USD as hotel gurrentee for Aswan and Luxor hotel - something which we were not informed earlier. c. Aswan travel arrangements and guide - We took a 17 hour long train journey from cairo to Aswan and upon reaching Aswan at 1 , we wanted to go to hotel to freshen up before we start the tour. However I guess the hotel was not booked or our guide told that the checkin is not until 2. So we were to drag ourselfs through the Philae temple tour which we did't enjoy much as we were touring without any shower or bio break. Add to that Mr Nasser (our guide) was not at all good. He was constantly making comments like "maharani" to my wife despite us requesting him not to. For me he seeom to be a local goon rather then a guide. Eventually we checked into hotel at 4 and the hotel was nice , but then while we covered our itinary for Aswan , it was not enjoyble. d. Aswan to Luxor transfer - We took the Abu Simbel tour and upon our return we had to followup for the driver and the Luxor hotel where we to check in. Also in hotel we had no assistance and the staff were not expecting us. Again we had to follup with Mr Ali to have that issue resolved. Overall we could sense that the Aswan and Luxor leg was not planned at all and got planned at the last minute which was quite unprofessional e. Tips - Mr Ali on first day took tip money for drivers and ball boys however again we had to tip the drivers seperately. As a matter of fact they demanded money (especially Mr Hani who took us from Aswan to Luxor). f. Refund of cash - Mr Ali had taken an additional 90 USD (for jordanian visa and any other ad hoc tours) and then later 80 USD for hotel gurrentee. We took inner pyramid tour so considering all we were supposed to get 126 USD cash back from Mr Ali , which he promised to return on last day at airport. But guess what , on last day when we called him , he mentioned that he does't have people and the refund will take time. We had to wait until last minute to get our money back. That too we got only 100 USD and it took some additional followups from Mr Karan to get the remaining 26 USD back. It left a very bad taste for us and I dont think I would ever like to deal with Mr Ali in future.

We really enjoyed the tour. From airport pickup to airport drop off the service was impressive. The hotel was decent but the breakfast was ordinary and repeatedly serving same menu. We enjoyed each and every places in dubai but the thing that left extra impression upon us was the driver-cum-guide Mr. Abu. We really enjoyed his company. Thank you travel triangle for organising such a beautiful and memorable tour.

Priyam's 6 days trip to Dubai

    a) Hotel Ibis Central one was excellent mainly because of its location and also the variety of breakfast items served there. Rooms could have been bigger as overall size was average. b) Turning point tourism was the travel service provider in Dubai. The pickup from hotel was always punctual and drivers were very cordial and helped us with all the queries we had. c) Abu Dhabi city tour was the best as the guide explained us all the places along with necessary information. d) Dhow cruise was the worst part of our trip as the cruise didn't appear good as compared to other cruises around. Also the food was disappointing with not a good menu and even the taste was dull. e) I requested for Burj Khalifa evening slot but i got afternoon slot tickets which was again disappointing as i could not enjoy the evening views from the Burj. This seems to be a miscommunication between my amazing trip from India to Turning Point tourism in Dubai. f) Dubai city tour only had two photo stops at Jumeirah public beach and Zabeel Palace. We recommend having more photo stops included in this city tour as there are many more important places as part of Dubai city tour. g) Desert safari was very good in terms of dune bashing in land cruiser. But we had very less time to enjoy the various activities offered at Camp as number of things to do were more and time alloted was very less. Hence it looked like a rushed affair. This can also be improved.
