Capital Gate, Abu Dhabi (UAE)

The Capital Gate is also known as the Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi. It is a tall building in the region that is a skyscraper. It is more than 160 meters in height and features more than 35 stories. The National Exhibitions Company constructed and developed the Capital Gate UAE. The building has an inclining shape which makes it one of the world’s signature building. The Capital Gate Abu Dhabi has a pre-cambered core which is a unique construction technique. It is also renowned to be the world’s most leaning tower according to Guinness Book of World Records. The rooms of the building are also extremely unique. They have glass facades and are inclined at a different angle. The Capital Gate foundation are its pillars that support the building which is massive and have different material properties as well. The massive building also features a hotel called the Hyatt. So, the building is not just constructed for commercial or tourism purposes, but it is also constructed for providing stay at the hotel as well. The hotel offers great panoramic views and overlooks of Abu Dhabi to tourists. Hence, tourists can visit this place and have the best time of their life getting to witness marvelous architecture.

Architecture Of Capital Gate

The Capital Gate is one unique structure which is four times more inclined than the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The tower was made using diagrid structures which were complex and were geometrically aligned using Tekla BIM software. Tekla software solutions have designed some of the world’s most iconic and complex buildings using its three-dimensional modeling function which makes it possible to make gravity-defying architecture in real life. At the 17th and the 18th floor of the tower are the swimming pool and a tea lounge respectively. Use of diagrid technology has been done for the construction of the Capital Gate. A total of 13,000 tons of steel is used for the construction of the tower.
