S's 5 days trip to South Africa

The team at TravelLykke have been very professional in their approach right through. They have been very patient and understanding of the requirements and accommodative to all kinds of doubts and queries and options too. Fairly transparent in the dealings and have a good set of on-ground contacts in S Africa who too have been professional and on time without delays and exceptions. A suggestion: there were some legs where we were informed we need to take Uber (to & fro Robben Island & Table Top Mountain). For the kind of spends done by us (Rs 3 Lakhs +) overall, it would have been helpful if these too could have been accommodated in the package. It is the nuisance value of having to book, wait etc. Also more minute detailing of the Full day Cape Peninsula tour could have been share earlier - we got it on landing from the local guide and it was very educative. Why not share this ahead of time? Some travel agencies give a backpack or travel kit (the amount of Rs 3 Lakhs is HUGE) with your branding. In this case it is singularly absent. Wonder why? We stayed in 3 hotels - Emerald Guest house in Johannesburg (Rating Poor to Good only); Kruger Park Adventure Lodge ( Excellent); Holiday Inn Express at Cape Town (Excellent).

Smrity's 9 days trip to South Africa

Traveled to South Africa ( Johannesburg, Kruger and Cape Town ) with my husband for 8 nights and 9 days. We decided to not have our trip planned by a local travel agent so got to travel triangle. The trip was planned exactly according to our requirements and pocket. We flew from Air Mauritius both the ways and both of us being vegetarians our meals were pre booked which made it hassle free for us. Our stay in Johannesburg was just for a night. It was booked in holiday inn, a decent accommodation for a night, fooding is a little problem as you can’t go out late in the night and hotel doesn’t have much to offer. Next day from Johannesburg to nelspruit (MQP) and there we were booked private transfer which was really good. Booked e-coaches which had clean vehicle and friendly drivers to drive you to your destination. We stayed 2 nights in Mejajane river lodge. The lodge is beautiful with a private game reserve. Mind you it has a lot to offer you and will not be a disappointment, but again the food was little problem. After two nights we shifted to another lodge for a day. Grand Kruger lodge is a beautiful lodge with friendly staff but the arrangement for Kruger National park game drive was not upto mark. We sort of faced racism there. From there we flew for Cape Town , a beautiful city- love at first sight. Our tour was book on private basis so we were really impressed by our tour guide + driver Mr. Nigel. Good guy with good knowledge. We stayed in Inn on the square which again was a decent accommodation. Over all the trip was a success with very few goof ups. We really had a good time.

Hotels were very nice but Hotels staff were not. It seems they are not very happy with Indians around. Cab Driver were extremely good. Extremely happy with their services. Travel Agent was good. But there was multiple miscommunications. Due to that we missed out on few things like - Blyde River Canyon tour, Vineyard Tour, We couldn't spend much time on Franchoek aswell. Many memorable memories. Right from the start. Kruger was amazing spotted big 5 multiple times, amazing experience. Beautiful landscapes of Johannesburg & amazing small towns. Knysna was again amazingly beautiful, Waterfront as beautiful, Congo caves, Ostrich farm was amazing. Bungee Jumping was a thrilling experience. Beautiful Town of Franchoek was amazing. Another thrilling experience of Shark Cage dive, exiting one. Then trip to capetown & amazing 12 apostles were great. Beautiful landscapes & sea & food. Loved every bit of this country. Beautiful & Thrilling South Africa

Shilpa's 6 days trip to South Africa

The overall trip to south africa was very good. The Besten tours in Africa was very well managed. The services were on time and the guides/drivers were extremely polite and accommodative. The kruger safari and capetown tours are worth every penny. the sefapane lodge is a very good option for stay. Mr. Manoj from Besten Tours India had been very sensitive to our requirements and whims. There was a delay in sending our passports for visa processing, but Mr. Manoj had been very helpful in getting it sorted within time. Some of the not so good experiences were: There was a mix up in flight booking where the tickets were given to us on the dates the flight was not operational. We came to know about this in the airport which was at midnight. However, we stayed overnight at the airport to catch the same flight next day. The stay in Johannesburg was not so great. The hotel Park Inn Sandton's service was very bad. They did not have our rooms ready on the last day of our trip till atleast 2.30 in the afternoon. We had to leave our luggage in the reception and go to the already booked tour. We got our rooms at 7 in the evening. These were some of the things which were not so good memories. So the tours can work on these issues, so that tourists like us donot have to face such problems.

Ramesh's 14 days trip to South Africa

Hi sirs Thanks for arranging our South Africa tour consisting of 12N / 13 Days. Would like to give some fair feedback for your reference and records and corrective actions wherever necessary. The feedback is graded on a scale ranging from 9 to 1, where 9 is the best and 1 you can understand. I will be rating the following for your benefit of better understanding – Hotels for Stay Breakfast in the same hotels Transportation / Logistics Drivers Local numbers for emergency calls for any requirement Starting with Hotel for Stay – Peermont Suites – Comfortable stay but so great, hence would like to give rating of 6 Breakfast in the above hotel was good but not many choices, hence would like to rate it as 7 Kruger Park Lodge – Comfortable stay, we liked it. Hence would like to give rating of 8 Breakfast in the above was just ok and nothing great, hence rating is 5 Sun Soho – very compact room, child bed is a sofa converted into bed, my son is almost 6 ft. hence rating is 6 Breakfast in the above hotel is good, manageable. Would like to rate it as 7 Blackwaters River Lodge – Pls do not recommend this place, its very pathetic. Only plus point is it is close to Knysna. Otherwise there is no reason why this hotel was given to us. We had to travel to go places. Would like to give ratings 4 Breakfast in the above hotel is also very pathetic. We were the only guests in this hotel and the hardly any choices in food. Hence we would like to rate it as below 3 Holiday Inn – Name is big, but the room is very small to accommodate 3 people in the room. It was just ordinary room with a double bed ( just not enough for two people to sleep ) and a single bed. Hence, would like to rate this stay of 5 Breakfast in the above hotel was just fine. Its ok. Hence rating may be like 6. Transportation / Logistics was good all thru. Good vehicles given to us. Would like to rate it as 9 Drivers – Both Haroon Ismail upto drop to Johannesburg after 6 days and thereafter Sipho from pick from George airport till drop us back to Cape Town international airport were very good. They were humble, obedient and very supportive. We like both and would like to rate them as 9. Local contacts for emergency was just fine. However, we enjoyed the full tour without any problems and your arrangements were fine. The Shark Cage dive was cancelled by the tour agent there due to sea roughness as told us. They said they would refund money to you. Pls let me know how you want to refund us the same. Many Thanks once again for arranging the tour for us. Regards / Ramesh

Dipsha's 7 days trip to South Africa

Having travelled with travel triangle before,I had expected better experience for my honeymoon trip but it was not! It was very bland and there were no customer delights or suprises planned. Also, there were no arrangements planned for us.The hotel provided at Johannesburg was not upto the mark as they denied to even provide the complimentary two bottles of water in the room when you checkin and their behaviour was also not good but the area was good. All the hotels strictly denied of being informed that a honeymoon couple is checking in and showed us the bookings as well that had come from the travel agent Prashanthi where nothing was mentioned. When we reached out to Flyocity and Prashanthi they started their blame game on the hotels. It was really frustrating to note that our names were all wrong everywhere and the hotel at capetown also denied a booking initially due to wrong names. It was also very frustrating to enquire at every hotel if they are aware about we being a honeymoon couple and then being introduced to guest relations to arrang on our own.It was after a lot of disappointments and to and fro that they arranged for a complimntary dinner and some decoration in the room on the very last day. Also, the driver though a good human being, was always in a hurry to pickup his grandson due to which our time was being cut short. After all we will not be going to SA every other day.All in all it was not what we had expected from travel triangle from a honeymoon trip! Only the time spent with each other as that is the best thing we had.Nothing that the travel partner made special.

Rajat's 11 days trip to South Africa

I would start off by saying that overall we had a good trip but it could have been better, and we would like to thank Travel Triangle and MK Holidays for the good experiences we had. South Africa (SA) is a wonderful place, a place where you would want to live a bit longer. It has a myriad of attraction for travelers – national park, beaches, beautiful cities, lovely and scenic drives, amazing people and a host of activities from skydiving, parasailing, bungee jumping to whale watching and shark cage diving. If you are thinking of visiting this place, you must. MK Holidays (MKH), a tour partner of Travel Triangle, helped us with the end-to-end planning including flight and hotel bookings for our 13 day honeymoon trip in December. Their pricing was decent, given it was the holiday season. We enjoyed the trip and covered everything almost as planned. Travel triangle was very responsive and helpful once we set foot in SA. Their local point of contact in Johannesburg was very professional and timely for the Kruger tour and airport transfers. MKH was also responsive to any queries we had when we were in SA. Most of the hotels they provided were also as per the quality we were expecting. However, there were a few hassles in planning the trip. MKH is not proactive in communicating the plan and timelines of when they will be completing the various flight and hotel bookings. Most of the time we’ve had to keep reminding them that the deadline for VISA application etc. is approaching and activities need to be completed fast. In SA, the tour guide for one of our tours did not turn up at the hotel because pick-up from that particular hotel was not within their radius and hence we would have to come to a nearby hotel for pickup. This was not communicated by MKH in time which led us to later do that trip by ourselves. MKH reimbursed the personal expenses incurred though. One of the tour bookings was done last minute just before starting the tour. The hotel provided in Knysna was more of a backpackers hotel than one suitable for a honeymoon. These things cause unnecessary hassle and cost your peace of mind during the trip which if taken care of can provide a very smooth experience. I would urge TT and MKH to ensure that they incorporate this feedback which would lead to increased professionalism from their side and hence better customer satisfaction.
