Best Time to Visit Tokyo

December to February (2°C to 12°C): The months of December to February bring with themselves the winter season in Tokyo. Tokyo climate during this time is not termed as a good time to visit the city since the temperature regularly falls below zero, especially during the evenings. Since this is not the high tourist season, special offers on day trips, sightseeing packages, and accommodation options can be expected. The onset of New Year festivities does result in an increase in the prices again. New Year’s celebrations and the Emperor’s Birthday is also held during December.

September to November (9°C to 21°C): This is the best time to visit Tokyo, thanks to the mild temperatures, which become chillier during the evenings. This is the fall season in Tokyo, thereby bringing closure to the heat and humidity that the city witnessed during the summer months. June to August (19°C to 31°C): This is the summer season in Tokyo, and it is not advisable to visit the city during this season. March to May (6°C to 23°C): These months are the best time to visit Tokyo, with comfortable day time temperatures and pleasant, breezy evenings. This is the time when locals enjoy their time out as well, with the cherry blossoms in full bloom during late March. It is actually a glorious time to be in Tokyo, with almost the entire city painted in hues of pink and a very agreeable Tokyo weather.
