History of Japan

The history of Japan takes you back to 30,000 years when the first human life existed in Japan. It is also traced that the first society named Jomon came into existence 12,000 years back, along with Jomon, people belonging to Ainu society also came from Siberia by boat. Both societies co-existed peacefully for thousands of years. Around 300 BC, people belonging to the Yayoi tribe settled in Honshu Island of China and Korea. Jimmu Tenno emperorship was overthrown by Shoguns and in the year 1543 Europeans arrived bringing in the new religion, technologies, and culture. The modernization and upliftment of Japan began in the year 1868.
