Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, and Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, are well connected by air, train, and road. The quickest way to cover Mumbai to Karnataka distance is taking a direct flight to Bangalore from Mumbai. However, a long drive or train journey through the Western Ghats is very rewarding.

Here are all the options for those wondering how to reach Karnataka from Mumbai –

Mumbai to Karnataka by Air

Mumbai is well connected by air with major cities in Karnataka such as Bangalore, Mangalore, Belgaum, and Hubbali. There are regular nonstop flights from Mumbai to Bangalore. It takes less than two hours to travel from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) to Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) in Bangalore or Mangalore Airport (IXE). There are also direct flights to the airport in Belgaum. After reaching Karnataka by air, travelers can board a train or book a cab for further sightseeing in the state.

 

Mumbai to Karnataka by Train

Mumbai Coimbatore Express, Mumbai Nagercoil Express, Udyan Express, and Jaipur Yesvantpur Suvidha Express are major trains from Mumbai to Bangalore. Trains to Mangalore, Hubbali, and Hampi are also available from Mumbai. It takes up to 24 hours to reach Bangalore from Mumbai by train.

 

Mumbai to Karnataka by Road

 

A long drive from Mumbai to Karnataka along the coastal Konkan region or through the emerald hills of Western Ghats is a wonderful way to travel from Mumbai to Karnataka. The distance from Mumbai to Bangalore by road is 983 kilometers, while Mysore is about 1,068 km away. Both Karnataka and Maharashtra government run overnight Volvo buses between Mumbai and Bangalore. Private operators also run buses from Mumbai to Mysore, Mangalore, and Hubbali.

    The overall tour experience was good. The cab driver was polite, punctual, and guided us well throughout the trip. The hotel stay was comfortable; however, we were not provided with the balcony room as per our reservation. Although the issue was resolved the next day, such matters should ideally be
    addressed by the travel agent immediately to avoid inconvenience. Looking forward to better coordination in future trips.

    The itenary can be planned better. There are mis communications that has happened. Few places are tempirarily closed/in operational but still they are added in itenary. For one place visit there is completely mis communication has happened what I get from travel agent and what I heard from cab drive
    r are quite opposite. .. Overall it's a good experience but can be made better. In quote shared it is mentioned as hotel stay inclusive of dinner but the hotel stay is booked without dinner.

    Package cost is too high for just 3 days. Driver was obedient but not much interactive. Smooth driving and trip went really well. Good assistance by travel agent Rahul. But I feel this package cost is little high. Toy Train experience was amazing. Good hotel view but still it's under construction.

    The Akshay palace is not even a 2 star hotel The washrooms was unclean The bed smelled of urine Breakfast / lunch area was also unclean. On top of it a very small room for 4 people. Overall not a good hotel. Jungle hill resort A good hotel to stay. Very good staff. Food options are very limited.
    They have only 1 cook. Driver Excellent driver Sunil Shetty. Very knowledgeable. And is very polite and gentleman
