How to Reach Valley of Clouds in Wayanad

The site is located in the Western Ghats at the altitude of 700 to 2100 m. Wayanad is easy to reach from every major town in the south of India. The Kozhikode – Mysore National Highway is also known as NH 212 will pass through the Wayanad district. Kozhikode airport which is located at Karipur is the closest airport from Wayanad. The trek to the valley of clouds starts with the visit to the tea garden at Meppadi on the foothills of Chembra ranges. It takes 6 hours to complete the trek. The top cannot be reached via a car or bus. There are bus and autos available to reach the Chembra ranges.

The way to the valley of clouds is filled with spice gardens and streams. Most people will get a guide who will take them to the trek. You have to pay for the services along with an entry fee. The valley opens at 10 am. It is advisable to start the trek early in the morning.
