Tryambakeshwar Shiva Temple: It is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located in Nashik, it is the most well-known Jyotirlingas out of the existing twelve structures. Lalbaugcha Raja Temple: It is an established Ganpati temple in Lalbaug. More than 1.5 million people visit this temple on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. It is 81 years old, which makes it one of the most prominent historical temples in Maharashtra.

Bhimashankar Temple: Another temple dedicated to lord Shiva, it is situated on the fringes of Maharashtra State Highway 112. A shrine is also dedicated to Goddess Parvati. The temple’s architecture is reminiscent of the Nagara era. It features in every temples in Maharashtra list.

Mahalakshmi Temple: Built in 1831, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi. The structure houses the idols of Mahasaraswati, Mahalakshmi, and Mahakali. Devotees can organise havans here after paying a small fee. It is undoubtedly one of the most famous temples in Maharashtra state.

Tulja Bhavani Temple: It is dedicated to Goddess Bhavani. Located in Osmanabad district, devotees shower the goddess with garlands and offer her sweets. Drums are played loudly in the premises of the temple to call the devotees for prayer. These are some of the features that make it one of the best religious places in Maharashtra.

Arranging suitable transport, comfortable hotels, and selecting the right locations was overwhelming, especially since I wasn’t familiar with the region. That’s when BackToHolidays and Shreya Rajput stepped in and completely transformed our travel experience. Shreya not only helped me plan the trip from scratch but ensured every minute detail was taken care of. She crafted a personalized itinerary based on our preferences, unlike other travel agencies that often stick to rigid, template-based plans. What truly set her apart was her proactive involvement throughout the trip. Shreya called me daily to check on our experience, ensuring that each day went smoothly and making adjustments whenever necessary. Upon our request, she even arranged a guided tour in Mumbai, further enhancing our experience. Recommendation: The only suggestion I would have for future travelers is to spend more time in Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani during the winter months, as these locations are exceptionally beautiful and deserve extra time to explore. We had an amazing time exploring various destinations! Riding horseback to the viewpoints in Matheran was an unforgettable experience. At Lonavala, we enjoyed visiting the Ekvira Temple, Karla Caves, Bhaje Caves, Mapro Gardens, Bushi Dam and Narayani Dham Mandir. Mahabaleshwar was breathtaking with Lingmala Waterfall, Mahabaleshwar Temple, Needle View and other scenic points. The Mapro Gardens at Panchgani added a delightful touch to our trip. In Pune, the Ganpati Temple, Sinhagad Fort and Aga Khan Palace were memorable. It was truly a well-rounded and enjoyable journey! Thanks to all.
