Elephanta Caves: Elephanta Caves are one of the most visited places in Mumbai. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Out of all the historical sites in Mumbai, this is one of the most visited. This site takes you back to medieval times. The caves present with a plethora of rock carved artworks. From miniature carvings to mega structures, you will find them all in these caves. Along with art, they are also a structure of great architectural importance. Elephanta Caves are situated 11 km away from the city. One can visit it anytime between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM.

Haji Ali Dargah: Haji Ali Dargah is one of the most surreal historical monuments in Mumbai. Situated amidst the blue expanse of the Arabian Sea, this spiritual structure is a must-visit place in Mumbai. The shrine of Haji Ali Dargah is built on a small island that can be reached through a causeway. Note that the shrine can only be reached during low tides. Harji Ali Dargah is a place open to all for visiting. At night, the brightly lit dargah alongside the dark of the sea presents one of the best views.

Kanheri Caves: Kanheri Caves are one of the most amazing historical places to visit in Mumbai. A walk through the caves will provide you with glimpses of the different time periods in history. Most of the carvings, inscriptions, sculptures, and paintings have been influenced by Buddhist culture. Kanheri Caves are open for visiting from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM from Tuesday to Sunday. Note that the Kanheri caves remain closed on Mondays. Thane Railway Station is the nearest railway station form the site. Also, note that the place prohibit any type of photography.

Tower of Silence : It is a historical place in Mumbai is which holds more importance for the Parsi communities who come here to perform the last rites of their deceased family members. Although it is not a historical place of attraction, it holds importance as a historical site for the Parsi community residing in Mumbai.
