The best way to reach Shirdi is by taking a flight as Shirdi has its own airport named Shirdi International Airport (SAG). This airport receives flights from cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad. The distance between Shirdi and Delhi by flight is 1254 km approximate while from Mumbai it is 236 km only. Other than this, train and road connectivity is also good between Shirdi and other cities of India. By Air: The nearest airport to Shirdi is Shirdi International Airport which is 13 km approximately from the city centre. The airport caters to flights coming from Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai only. One can take an auto-rickshaw or taxi from the airport to reach the main temple.

By Train: The nearest railway station to Shirdi is Kopargaon Railway Station. One can easily reach the temple by an auto-rickshaw or taxi as it is located just 16 km away from the main city. Regular trains are available from cities like Pune, Delhi, Agra, Chennai etc.

By Bus: Shirdi by bus is easily accessible from nearby cities like Pune, Mumbai etc. It just takes around 5 to 6 hours to travel to Shirdi from Pune or Mumbai by bus. Both AC and sleeper buses are available.

By Air

Being a small town, Shirdi has relatively, quite recently, established an airport. In the year 2017, India's President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the Shirdi Airport. This airport, however, receives flights from only three airports in India: Delhi airport, Hyderabad airport and Mumbai airport. Therefore, in case you wish to travel to Shirdi by air, you need to board a flight from any of these three airports. The Shirdi Airport is situated at Kakdi. If you stay in any city other than the three mentioned above, you can also board a flight from your city to the nearest airports. That is, The Aurangabad or the Pune Airport. From there, you can take a cab or bus to Shirdi.

By Train

Situated 3 kms away from the Shri Sai Baba Samadhi, the Sainagar Shirdi railway station is another option that you can explore if you're confused about how to reach Shirdi. Trains from Mumbai (Dadar Central), Hyderabad (Secunderabad), Kolkata (Howrah Junction) and Mysore come to Shirdi. More often than not, Shirdi is the terminal stop of these trains. Therefore, you must plan your trip accordingly. Depending upon your original destination, your train journey can last from 15 to 24 hours. Also, you must keep in mind that most trains get delayed and they make numerous stops along the way.

By Road

If you live close by, for instance, in Nashik, Pune or Mumbai; which is to say, that if you live in Maharashtra, you will easily find buses to Shirdi. In fact, you can also find cabs to Shirdi. However, if you live outside Maharashtra, you will not find any direct bus to Shirdi. In this case, you need to travel to Maharashtra first and then board a bus to Shirdi.
