How to Reach Veligandu Island

The Veligandu Island resort is the only available resort on the place. The look and the ambiance of the resort sync with the island’s features as well. The place is 600 m long and 150 m wide, covering around 22 acres. Your seaplane travel from the Velana International Airport would be a scenic trip and a start of a memorable vacay as well.  

The Trans Maldivian Airways provide seaplane for the tourists to reach the island. Once you set foot in the Maldives, you need to clear out the immigration and customs formalities as required and the representative will assist you further. Within a 10 min shuttle bus ride, you will reach the TMA Terminal. The seaplane travel is scheduled within one hour post the required checks are done.

The seaplane is available only in the daylight hours, i.e., 6 AM to 6 PM. Airline policies do not allow passengers post that. If an international flight has been delayed and you couldn’t check in on time, you can choose to spend the night at the Champa Central Hotel or stay at the airport. In rare instances where the weather conditions have changed, the departure may be delayed or scheduled earlier, accordingly. However, TMA assumes no liability posed to them for any expenses that occur during such changes or situations wherein the guests have not checked-in on time.

Now, the final thing to know is Crown & Champa Resorts Lounge At TMA. It is present in the terminal A just in front of the lift. This place is nicely adorned and furnished. You can check-in for affordable snacks and some food. The place also features a cyber cafe, restrooms, and Television. So, people who wish to spend the night at the airport will experience the same comfort as a resort.
