Overview
A Manali adventure tour package packs the most into a short window because the good stuff sits close together. Solang Valley, where the paragliding and zorbing happen, is about a 30-minute drive from town. The Atal Tunnel portal is roughly the same, and once you are through it, Sissu and the raw Lahaul landscape open up in under an hour from your hotel. That density is why a 3 nights 4 days trip works here: you are never burning a day in transit the way a longer Ladakh or Spiti run would.
This package keeps the logistics simple. You travel on an overnight Volvo from Delhi and wake up in the hills, so no trekking day is wasted getting there. In Manali you have a private cab and a 3-star hotel with breakfast and dinner sorted, which leaves your daylight free for the activities. What makes it customisable: if you want to swap the ropeway for an ATV run, add a second rafting stretch, or trade Naggar for more time at Solang, your trip coordinator rebuilds the day around it before you pay.

Day-wise adventure itinerary
Four days, one base. You unpack once in Manali and run day trips out to the activity zones, so there is no packing-and-moving every morning. Here is how the adventure days actually fall.
| Day | Adventure focus | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Overnight Volvo into the mountains | Delhi to Manali |
| Day 2 | Arrival, Old Manali, Hadimba, Vashisht springs | Manali |
| Day 3 | Paragliding, zorbing, ropeway, ATV; Atal Tunnel to Sissu | Solang Valley, Lahaul |
| Day 4 | Beas river rafting, Naggar, drive back | Kullu, Naggar, Delhi |
Day 1 . Delhi to Manali by overnight Volvo
The mountain air beckons. Reach the Delhi boarding point by around 5 PM and settle into your overnight Volvo coach to Manali. It is a long haul up the hill roads, but you sleep through most of it and roll into Manali early the next morning with a full day of adventure still ahead, instead of losing daylight to the drive. Meals are on your own on this leg, so grab dinner before you board.
Day 2 . Manali arrival and warm-up sightseeing
Your driver meets you at the Manali Volvo point and transfers you to the hotel for check-in and a freshen-up. In the afternoon, ease into the trip with a half-day of local sightseeing: the wooden Hadimba Devi Temple set in the cedar forest of Van Vihar, the hot-water springs at Vashisht, the buzz of Old Manali and Mall Road, and the Tibetan monastery. It is a deliberately light day. It lets you acclimatise to the altitude before the big activity day, and the evening is yours for cafe-hopping in Old Manali or picking up gear for tomorrow. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 . Solang Valley adventure day, then Atal Tunnel to Sissu
This is the day the package is built around. After breakfast you drive about 13 km to Solang Valley, the open ground where Manali does its adventure sports. In the warm months (roughly March to June) this is where you take a tandem paragliding flight off the Solang slopes, roll downhill strapped into a zorbing ball, ride the ropeway up for the ridge views, and open the throttle on an ATV quad across the meadow. In winter (December to February) the same ground turns to snow and the activities shift to skiing, snow-scooter rides and snow-tubing. The line-up flexes with the season, which is why the exact list is confirmed when you book.
From Solang you carry on to the Atal Tunnel, the 9-km engineering feat that punches under the Rohtang massif and drops you into the Lahaul valley on the far side. Emerge at the north portal and it is a short run to Sissu, a startlingly green village under snow peaks with a waterfall and a calm lake. A few years ago this side was a hard, permit-heavy day over Rohtang Pass. The tunnel turned it into an easy half-day, and it is the single best add this package makes over an old-style Manali itinerary. If Rohtang Pass itself is open and you would rather stand on the pass, that swap can be arranged with a permit. Return to Manali for dinner and the night.
Day 4 . Beas river rafting, Naggar, and the drive home
Check out after breakfast and point the cab south toward Kullu. On the Beas near Pirdi and Babeli you hit the water for a river-rafting run, a bouncy grade I to III stretch depending on the flow, and the loud, cold, genuinely fun highlight for a lot of travellers. On the way you can stop at Naggar Castle, the old stone-and-wood seat of the Kullu kings, along with the Nicholas Roerich art gallery, a shawl workshop and the Jagatsukh temples. By late afternoon you head to the Volvo point for the overnight coach back to Delhi, arriving the next morning. Rafting on the Beas runs best in the pre-monsoon months and again after the monsoon eases; at peak snowmelt the river can be closed for safety, so the operator confirms the run on the day.
Adventure activities included and optional
Here is the honest split of what happens on the ground. The sightseeing, transfers and the Solang and Atal Tunnel to Sissu drives are part of the package. Most of the individual adrenaline activities are booked and paid at the activity point so you only pay for what you actually do, and prices move with the season and operator. Confirm the current rates and what is bundled when you book.
| Activity | Where | Best season | In this package |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paragliding (tandem) | Solang Valley | Mar to Jun, Sep to Nov | Optional, paid on the ground |
| Zorbing | Solang Valley | Mar to Jun (grass), snow in winter | Optional, paid on the ground |
| Ropeway / cable car | Solang Valley | Year-round, weather permitting | Optional, paid on the ground |
| ATV / quad ride | Solang Valley | Mar to Jun | Optional, paid on the ground |
| Skiing / snow-scooter | Solang, Rohtang side | Dec to Feb | Optional, paid on the ground |
| Atal Tunnel to Sissu drive | Lahaul valley | Most of the year, snow permitting | Included (sightseeing) |
| Beas river rafting | Pirdi / Babeli, Kullu | Mar to Jun, post-monsoon | Optional, paid on the ground |
| Rohtang Pass excursion | Rohtang (permit) | Jun to Oct, when open | Optional, on request (permit + extra) |
Non-swimmers and families ask about rafting the most: the Beas beginner stretch is run with a certified guide, a life jacket and a helmet, and there are shorter, gentler sections for kids and first-timers. Paragliding is tandem, so you fly strapped to a licensed pilot and do not need any experience. Always check that your operator provides current safety gear and a certified instructor before you pay.

Hotels on this package
You stay 3 nights in a hand-picked 3-star hotel in Manali on a breakfast-and-dinner plan, which keeps you fed before and after the activity days without eating into the budget. Staying put in one base for all 3 nights is deliberate: it saves you the pack-up-and-move mornings and keeps Solang, the Atal Tunnel and the Beas rafting stretch all inside easy day-trip range. Prefer a specific property or a step up to 4-star? Tell your trip coordinator and the stay is swapped before you pay.
Best time for adventure in Manali and how to reach
The activity calendar splits cleanly. March to June is the sweet spot for paragliding, zorbing, ATV rides and Beas rafting, with warm days and a river running strong but safe. December to February swaps the green Solang meadow for snow, so the same ground gives you skiing, snow-scooter rides and snow play, though heavy snow can briefly shut the Atal Tunnel and the higher roads. The monsoon months of July and August bring landslide risk and paused rafting at peak flow, so they are the weakest window for an adventure trip.
Getting here is straightforward. This package runs on an overnight Volvo from Delhi, about 12 to 14 hours to Manali. If you would rather fly, the nearest airport is Bhuntar (Kullu), about 50 km away, and you can also drive up through Chandigarh. For a full breakdown of routes, trains and driving times, see our how to reach Manali guide.
Cancellation and payment policy
Booking is confirmed with an advance, with the balance due before departure. Because this is a customisable package with hotel and Volvo blocks held in your name, the refund on a cancellation depends on how close to the travel date you cancel: the earlier you tell us, the smaller the deduction. As a working frame, cancellations well before travel carry only a small processing fee, cancellations closer in carry a part charge, and last-minute cancellations near the travel date are largely non-refundable because the bookings are already locked. Peak-season and festival-date bookings can have stricter terms. Your exact advance amount, balance due date and slab-wise refund window are shared in writing with your itinerary before you pay, so nothing is a surprise. Activity fees paid on the ground follow each operator own policy and weather calls.
Why book this adventure package with TravelTriangle
Every Manali adventure package here is run by a vetted local operator, not a call-centre reseller, so the people arranging your paragliding slot and your rafting guide are the same team on the ground when you arrive. The itinerary is fully customisable: change a hotel, add an activity, or swap Naggar for extra Solang time, and your coordinator rebuilds the day before you pay. Pricing stays honest, one from-fare and a clear split of what is bundled versus paid on the ground, and you get 24x7 support for the length of the trip.
Activity availability, seasonality and safety-gear standards on this page are checked by our Manali adventure desk against the current operator schedule before travel.

FAQs About Himachal Honeymoon Packages
Is paragliding at Solang Valley part of the trip, and what does it cost?
Yes, Solang Valley is the paragliding hub and Day 3 is built around it. Tandem paragliding is flown strapped to a licensed pilot, so you need no experience. It is booked at Solang and priced by flight length; short and long flight options run at different rates and prices shift with the season. Confirm the current rate with your coordinator so it can be added to your package or budgeted separately.
Is the Atal Tunnel and Sissu day covered? Is Rohtang Pass accessible too?
Yes. The drive through the 9-km Atal Tunnel to Sissu in the Lahaul valley is part of the Day 3 sightseeing and is the standout leg of this itinerary. The tunnel stays open most of the year and only shuts in heavy snow. Rohtang Pass is a separate, higher excursion that needs a permit and is open roughly June to October; if you want to add it, tell your coordinator and it is arranged with the permit and vehicle as an extra.
Is river rafting on the Beas safe for non-swimmers and children?
Yes, on the beginner stretch near Pirdi and Babeli. It is run with a certified guide, a life jacket and a helmet, and there are shorter, gentler sections suited to kids and first-timers; you do not need to swim. The rafting grade rises with the water flow, so at peak snowmelt the run may be shortened or paused for safety. The operator confirms the day rafting is on and matches the stretch to your group.
How much does this 3 nights 4 days Manali adventure package cost?
It starts from Rs 8,200 per person on twin sharing against a struck rate of Rs 9,011, covering 3 nights of 3-star stay with breakfast and dinner, Volvo transfers from Delhi and all Manali sightseeing with a private cab. Individual adventure activities are paid on the ground. The final price depends on your travel dates, hotel category and which activities you pre-book, and every quote is customisable.
What should I pack for the adventure activities?
Layered warm clothing and a windproof jacket for Solang and the Atal Tunnel side, thermals in winter, and a good pair of grippy closed shoes for the activity ground. Bring quick-dry clothes and a change of kit for rafting, strong sunscreen and sunglasses for the high UV, a small daypack, a power bank and any personal medication. Carry some cash, since activity counters at Solang and the rafting point may not take cards.
Are the adventure operators licensed and is safety gear provided?
The activities are run by local operators who provide the safety gear as standard: a harness and helmet for paragliding, life jackets and helmets for rafting, and instructor supervision for each activity. Paragliding is tandem with a licensed pilot. Before you pay on the ground, it is always worth a quick check that the gear looks current and an instructor is present; our Manali adventure desk vets the operators we place travellers with.
Can I customise this itinerary?
Yes, every day is customisable. You can swap the hotel or step up to 4-star, add or drop activities at Solang, trade Naggar for more time in the Lahaul valley, or extend the trip. You can also change hotels mid-trip if you discuss it with your coordinator first. Tell your trip coordinator what you want and the package is rebuilt and re-quoted before you pay
When is the best time to visit Manali?
If you want to enjoy the snow-laden roads and snow-clad trees, the months between October to February are just for you. A pleasantly warm temperature can be experienced from March to April.
What can I shop for in Manali?
You can shop around for handicrafts typical of the hills like heavily embroidered shawls, wooden crafts, pillbox woollen caps. Tibetan curios can be found in all the markets in Manali. Pick up some firans and inlaid silver jewellery in turquoise and coral.
What should I pack for my trip to Manali?
Warm clothes, thermals, a good pair of comfortable shoes suitable for this kind of weather, first aid kit and of course a good camera.
Can I change hotels on this trip?
Yes you can do so. But you need to discuss this with the travel agent first to avoid any inconveniences.
Which adventure activities are included in this 3 nights 4 days Manali package?
The package includes your stay, meals, Volvo transfers, the Manali sightseeing, the Solang Valley drive and the Atal Tunnel to Sissu leg. The individual adrenaline activities, paragliding, zorbing, the ropeway, ATV rides and Beas river rafting, are optional and paid at the activity point, so you only pay for what you actually do. Your coordinator can pre-bundle specific activities into the price if you prefer to pay once, up front.
