Bali Tour Package from Kochi: Overview
This Bali tour package from Kochi gives you four nights split between Bali's two easiest bases: two nights at the beachfront Grand Hyatt Bali in Nusa Dua and two in a private-pool villa in Seminyak. The land price is Rs 57,499 per person on twin sharing. Add a one-stop return flight from Kochi and it comes to about Rs 84,000 to Rs 98,000 per person, depending on your dates.
It is built for travellers flying out of Kochi, Trivandrum or anywhere else in Kerala. Day 1 is kept light because every Kochi to Bali routing has one connection, and most leave around midnight. Between the two hotels you get the Turtle Island boat ride at Tanjung Benoa, a 2-hour Balinese spa, a sunset dinner cruise and a full day inland at Kintamani and Ubud. Of our Bali tour packages from Kerala, this is the 5-star one. If you would rather spend less on hotels, the 5-day Bali trip covers a similar route with 4-star stays from Rs 27,999.

Who This Package Suits
Families and groups of friends from Kerala taking their first trip to Bali get the most from this plan. There is one hotel change, every transfer is a private car, and the busiest day (Day 4) involves more sitting in the car than walking. The Grand Hyatt's calm Nusa Dua lagoon works for children and grandparents who want to swim without the surf you get at Kuta. The Seminyak villa gives a group its own pool and puts you a short ride from the cafés and shops of Jalan Kayu Aya.
Couples can book it as it is, but if you want a candlelit dinner, flower bath and couple spa built in, look at our Bali honeymoon packages from Kochi or the 5N/6D Bali honeymoon package from Kerala. For every other duration and budget, browse all our Bali tour packages.
Flights from Kochi and Trivandrum to Bali
There is no non-stop flight from Kochi (Cochin, COK) to Bali's Ngurah Rai airport (DPS). Every itinerary connects once, and the three practical hubs are Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok. The quickest Singapore connections take about 8 hours 35 minutes including the layover. The cheaper AirAsia routings through Kuala Lumpur usually run 10 to 14 hours. Singapore Airlines leaves Kochi at about 1 am, and most other options also go overnight and land in Bali the next afternoon. That is why Day 1 has nothing scheduled after check-in.
Off-peak return fares on a one-stop routing start at about Rs 26,000 and usually sit between Rs 26,000 and Rs 40,000. Onam, Christmas and the May school holidays push Kochi fares well above that, so book those dates early.
| Route | Typical airline | Time in the air + layover | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kochi → Singapore → Bali | Singapore Airlines | From about 8 h 35 min | Fastest option, full-service, checked bag included |
| Kochi → Kuala Lumpur → Bali | AirAsia | About 10 to 14 h | Usually the cheapest fare. Buy checked baggage at booking, it costs more at the airport |
| Kochi → Bangkok → Bali | AirAsia via Don Mueang, or Air India Express to Suvarnabhumi with a separate onward ticket | 12 h and more | Winter-schedule option. A separate ticket means you collect and re-check bags in Bangkok |
| Trivandrum → Kuala Lumpur or Singapore → Bali | AirAsia, Scoot | About 10 to 14 h | Easier for travellers from Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Thiruvananthapuram and Kanyakumari |
From Kozhikode (Calicut) or Kannur, your agent quotes whichever works out cheaper: a connection from your own airport or a drive to Kochi. Malayalis living in the Gulf can join the same land package. Emirates flies non-stop to Bali from Dubai and Qatar Airways from Doha, so family members flying from Kerala and the Gulf can meet at Ngurah Rai and share one quote. Bali is 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of India. For the full airport and transfer guide, see how to reach Bali.
4 Nights 5 Days Bali Itinerary from Kochi
Day 1: Land at Ngurah Rai and Check In at Grand Hyatt Bali, Nusa Dua
Your Bali packages from Kochi begin at Ngurah Rai International Airport, in Tuban on Bali's south coast. After immigration (the Visa on Arrival counter is before passport control if you have not done the e-VoA online), your driver meets you in the arrivals hall for the private transfer to Nusa Dua, about 20 to 30 minutes south. Check-in at Grand Hyatt Bali is from mid-afternoon. After an overnight connection, most travellers sleep for an hour, then walk down to the hotel's beach for the late-afternoon light over the lagoon. If you have energy left, Bali Collection (Nusa Dua's open-air shopping and restaurant street) is a 10-minute walk from the hotel gate. Dinner tonight is at your own cost. Overnight at Grand Hyatt Bali.
Day 2: Turtle Island Boat, Water Sports at Tanjung Benoa and a Half-Day City Tour
After breakfast, the car takes you 10 minutes up the peninsula to Tanjung Benoa, Bali's water sports beach. The included glass-bottom boat crosses to Pulau Penyu (Turtle Island), where you can see green sea turtles at the local conservation pens and look down at the reef on the way over. Back on the beach, the banana boat is included, and the counters sell parasailing, jet ski and sea walker rides if anyone wants more. Go in the morning, when the water is calmer. Lunch is at your own cost (the warungs along the Benoa road serve nasi goreng and grilled fish for about IDR 50,000 a plate). In the afternoon a half-day city tour takes you through Denpasar and the south before you return to Nusa Dua for sunset. Overnight at Grand Hyatt Bali.
Day 3: Balinese Spa, Move to Your Seminyak Pool Villa and the Bounty Sunset Dinner Cruise
Take breakfast slowly, then head for your included 2-hour Balinese spa treatment, a traditional massage with warm oil. Check out after the spa and keep the afternoon for the Nusa Dua beach or a late lunch, with your bags in the car. In the early evening, your driver takes you about 15 to 20 minutes to Benoa Harbour, across the bay from Nusa Dua on the Bali Mandara toll road, to board the Bounty for the sunset dinner cruise, about 3 hours on the water with dinner, music and the sun setting over the harbour. After the cruise, the car takes you about 35 to 50 minutes north-west to Seminyak, where you check in to your private-pool villa at Kamuela Villas Seminyak or similar. Overnight in Seminyak.
Day 4: Kintamani Volcano View, Tegallalang Rice Terraces and Ubud Monkey Forest
This is the long day (about 9 to 10 hours), so leave Seminyak right after breakfast. The drive north to Kintamani takes about 2 hours, with stops on the way through Ubud's craft villages. At Kintamani you look across the caldera to the active Mount Batur and the crescent of Lake Batur below it. Lunch at one of the ridge-top restaurants is at your own cost and comes with the view. On the way back down, stop at the Tegallalang rice terraces for photos, then spend an hour at the Ubud Monkey Forest, a temple forest home to hundreds of long-tailed macaques (keep sunglasses and phones in a zipped bag). Entry tickets are paid at the gate unless your quote lists them. Return to Seminyak by evening. Overnight in Seminyak.
Day 5: Fly Home to Kochi
After breakfast, you have the morning for a last swim in the villa pool or for shopping along Jalan Kayu Aya and Seminyak Square. Check-out is at noon. Your private transfer to Ngurah Rai takes about 30 to 45 minutes from Seminyak, but allow an hour in the afternoon traffic and reach the airport 3 hours before your flight. Most evening departures connect overnight in Kuala Lumpur or Singapore and reach Kochi the next morning.
Hotels in This Package
Days 1 and 2: Grand Hyatt Bali, Nusa Dua. A 5-star beachfront resort inside the gated Nusa Dua enclave, with several outdoor pools, a fitness centre, a kids' club, restaurants and bars, and direct access to the lagoon beach. The calm water here is the reason families pick Nusa Dua over Kuta.
Days 3 and 4: Kamuela Villas Seminyak. Private villas, each with its own pool, on Jalan Bali Deli near the Seminyak and Legian beach road. Villas suit a family or a group who want space and privacy after two nights in a big resort.
Our agents book these hotels or similar ones of the same category, depending on availability on your dates. You can upgrade either stay, for example a pool villa in Ubud instead of Seminyak, and the upgrade is priced on the same quote.
Add-Ons and Swaps
| Add-on | Where it fits | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Uluwatu Temple and Kecak fire dance | Day 2 evening, instead of sunset in Nusa Dua | Cliff-top temple 30 minutes from Nusa Dua. The dance starts around sunset |
| Nusa Penida day trip | Extra night, or swap for Day 2 | Fast boat from Sanur. Kelingking Beach and Crystal Bay. A long day on rough roads. See our Nusa Penida guide |
| Mount Batur sunrise trek | Replaces Day 4 morning | 2 a.m. pick-up, about 2 hours' climb in the dark. Fit travellers only |
| Tanah Lot sunset | Extra night in Seminyak | Sea temple 30 to 40 minutes from Seminyak. Watched from the cliffs |
| Bali Swing and Tegallalang | Day 4 | Jungle swings above the rice terraces, priced per ride |
| Extra night in Ubud | Between Day 3 and Day 4 | Cuts Day 4's driving in half. See things to do in Ubud |
Each add-on is priced on your quote.
Bali Trip Cost from Kochi, With and Without Flights
Here is what one person should budget for this 4N/5D Bali package from Kerala, including flights and the costs the land price does not cover. Figures are for the quieter months (roughly October to mid-December and January to March, outside Onam and Christmas).
| Item | Per person |
|---|---|
| Land package (4 nights, breakfast, cruise dinner, spa, tours, private transfers, taxes) | Rs 57,499 |
| Return flights Kochi to Bali, one stop | About Rs 26,000 to Rs 40,000 |
| Package with return flights | About Rs 84,000 to Rs 98,000 |
| Visa on Arrival / e-VoA (IDR 500,000) | About Rs 2,600 |
| Bali tourist levy (IDR 150,000) | About Rs 800 |
| Lunches, dinners and drinks (4 days) | About Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000 |
| Entry tickets, tips, shopping money | About Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 |
| Indicative total | About Rs 96,000 to Rs 1,16,000 |
A couple should plan on roughly Rs 1.9 to Rs 2.3 lakh for the trip. Rs 1 buys roughly 190 Indonesian rupiah, so IDR 100,000 is a little over Rs 500. Indian law collects TCS on overseas tour packages at the time of payment, and you can claim it back against your income tax.

Visa and Documents for Indian Travellers
Indians do not get visa-free entry to Indonesia. You buy a Visa on Arrival at the airport, or the e-VoA online before you fly, for IDR 500,000 (about Rs 2,600). It is valid for 30 days and can be extended once. The e-VoA lets you use the faster autogates with a chip e-passport. You also pay the Bali tourist levy of IDR 150,000 per person once per trip, online at Love Bali or at the airport, and fill in the All Indonesia arrival card within 72 hours before landing. Carry a passport valid for at least 6 months, your return ticket and the hotel confirmations your agent sends. Read our full guide to the Bali visa for Indians.
Payment and Changes
Getting quotes costs nothing. Customise the package, compare quotes from up to 3 verified agents, then confirm with a token amount and pay the balance in instalments before you travel. The deposit and the balance due date are written on your quote before you pay anything, and flights follow the airline's own fare rules. Any day of this itinerary can be changed before you book.
Fares, visa fees and the tourist levy on this page are checked by our Bali desk against the airline schedules and the Indonesian immigration and Love Bali portals.
