Ajmer is a beautiful city in the Rajasthan state of India which is surrounded by Aravalli Ranges. It is mostly visited by travelers who are history buffs and believes in spirituality as Ajmer is famous for the same. Ajmer is well connected throughout India and can be visited by air, road or rail. However, there is no airport in Ajmer, the only way to reach Ajmer by flight is to land on the Jaipur Airport called Sanganer Airport which is the nearest airport to Ajmer and is around 135 km. There is no train Chennai to Ajmer train and also there is no bus connectivity between these two cities.

If you are someone who is looking for how to reach Ajmer from Chennai then there are various ways to get to Ajmer from Chennai which are elaborated below.

By Air: As there is no airport in Ajmer, the only way to travel to Ajmer from Chennai by flight is to first land on Jaipur Airport known as Sanganer Airport and then take a road journey of around 135 km via a bus or a taxi. Taxi would cost your from 1500 INR to 2000 INR depending on your negotiating skills. There is no Chennai to Ajmer flight but flights like SpiceJet and IndiGo operate between Chennai and Jaipur. It takes 2 hours 50 minutes to reach Jaiour from Chennai and then again 2 to 3 hours to travel to Ajmer from Jaipur by road.

By Rail: Unfortunately, there is no rail connectivity from Chennai to Ajmer. The only way to travel to Ajmer by train is to first travel to Vidisha which is a city in Madhya Pradesh and then take another train to Ajmer.

By Road: Chennai to Ajmer distance by road is 1967 km and it is not feasible to travel here from Chennai by road. There are no direct buses on this route. The only way to travel to Ajmer by road is to first travel to Rajkot from Chennai and then take a bus from Rajkot to Ajmer.

Tripsailer helped us from start to end with all the planning and helped to make sure that my trip went without any hiccups. They also called in between to check on us, which was really good. The hotel that they gave in Jaipur was great, the hospitality, food and room everything was upto the standard

s. However, the hotel they gave us in Udaipur was not that great. The washroom door had mould on it; it was not clean. The breakfast was average. The driver they provided was good; he did show us around, but he was going off track with the planned itinerary and was going to other places that were not in the itinerary. Apart from these few points, the trip went perfectly well. We enjoyed it a lot, and we would choose Tripsailer again for our future trips.
