Udaipur To Jaisalmer By Train: As Udaipur and Jaisalmer are both quite popular and more importantly, large cities in Rajasthan, they both boast fairly well-connected train stations. However, direct trains are not available. The best mode to travel from Udaipur to Jaisalmer is to reach Pali from Indica and then take Ranikhet Express from Pali for Jaisalmer. This takes somewhat 12 hours to complete the journey. However, the duration can differ with different trains.
Udaipur To Jaisalmer By Road:
By Bus: Even though there is no direct connectivity between Udaipur and Jaisalmer by bus, there are several indirect routes. The distance between the two cities is 494.2 km. One can first travel to Jodhpur by state-owned or private buses and can then resume the journey by bus to Jaisalmer. It will take a duration of 14 hours 45 minutes and will cost you around INR 700.
By Car: Driving to Jaisalmer from Udaipur is also an option, the journey taking about 8 and a half hours. This is possibly the most assured and fastest way to reach Jaisalmer from Udaipur.
