The question of how to reach Jaisalmer from Udaipur is a slightly trickier proposition than the cities of Jodhpur and Jaipur but fairly simple nonetheless.

Udaipur To Jaisalmer By Train: As Udaipur and Jaisalmer are both quite popular and more importantly, large cities in Rajasthan, they both boast fairly well connected train stations. Travellers can take direct trains from Udaipur to Jaisalmer and it is a fairly comfortable way to travel. However, this journey by train takes up to 17 hours, with trains leaving Udaipur early in the morning. Taking the train is inconvenient for those looking to save time.

Prices of the bus tickets can vary but they are available for as much as Rs. 600, thus making it a fairly cheap option.
