Terminal 1 of the Indira Gandhi Airport are for budget carrier airlines like GoAir, Indigo and Spicejet. So if you have booked a flight via these airlines, you need to go to T1. However, high fare carriers like Jet Airways  fly out from Terminal 3. To reach these airports, you will have to leave from your house/hotel well in advance in order to beat the traffic.
