The best season to visit St Petersburg would be from May to September. This is when the temperatures here are bearable and it becomes easy to explore different places and things to do.

The last ten days of June fill the city with global opera singers, ballet dancers, and musicians. There are fireworks over the Neva River, and carnivals keep the folks and tourists busy in the festivities.
