River Safari in Singapore is one of the most thrilling experiences one can witness in their life. It is the first ever river-themed wildlife park and aquarium in Asia which is nestled between Singapore Zoo and Night Safari. The entire theme of this place is based on tropical rainforest exhibiting various species of animals. It shelters over 5000 animals of different species including the ones which are endangered. Some of the major animals found at River Safari in Singapore are electric eels, pandas, manatees, gharials, paddlefish, giant otters, jaguars, Chinese alligators, and many other.
Giant pandas, which is a pair of a male and a female named Kai Kai and Jia Jia respectively is the major attraction of this place. Major part of the forest is covered with bamboo plantation which is planted specially to feed these giant pandas. Visitors like to interact and click photos of these giant furry animals.
Another major attraction of the Singapore Zoo River Safari is the boat ride tour of the Amazon river which is called Amazon River Quest. It is considered to be largest freshwater aquarium in the world that showcases around 30 species from Amazon river which are arapaima, black-finned pacu, electric eel, giant river otter, manatee, motoro stingray, pacman catfish, red-tailed catfish, and many more.
Squirrel monkey forest is another fetching place to visit as these naughty creatures will surely going to entertain you. Squirrel monkeys walk all around the forest canopy in the troops of at least 300 and they mainly feed on fruits and insects.
