About Haw Par Villa in Singapore

Haw Par Villa Singapore, earlier known as the Tiger Balm Gardens is an Asian Cultural Park preserving a rich heritage. With its opening and Haw Par Villa history that dates back to the year 1937, the park stood as a great example that described the Chinese Mythology ever since. Boon Haw commissioned for statues and dioramas to be constructed in the park as a symbol to teach the traditional values between 1937 and his death in the year 1954. In the 1950s and 60s, the park served as a popular recreational spot among the families of Singapore before the advancement of modern life. The park was redeveloped a number of times in the later years. In fact, the name of the park was changed and the renaming of it was based on the Burmese-Chinese brothers Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par’s names. Hence, the park was named as Haw Par Villa, where Haw and Par mean Tiger and Leopard respectively.

The Haw Par Villa Park Singapore has many things of interest that can grab the attention of the visitors. In a Haw Par Villa Tour, one can witness this park that holds many great attractions including the Ten Courts of Hell which contain the portrayal of the hell in Chinese Mythology and Buddhism. There are also other elements to it, namely the Fengshen Bang, the dioramas of scenes from the journey to the west, etc. along with the statues of many mythological and historical figures. The visitors will also find monuments especially dedicated to the Aw brothers and their parents.     We were extremely lucky that we met Mr. babu from Dream Tours And Travels through Travel Triangle who planned our trip so smoothly. we spoke to MakeMYTrip and Yatra as well to plan our trip which was totally customisable but MMT and Yatra were stuck at some point that they could not give us exact It
    inerary and hotel rooms specific to our need that we asked them. Its Babu bhai from Dream Tours And Travels who was so active in each call with us, he got very good idea for singapore trip and he suggested what activity would be good for which day and how we can manage with kids in our trip. Booking was smooth. Communication was extremely clear and transparent. what was committed was given by Babu Bhai agency. All vouchers we got before starting of Trip. Cabs were good. Hotel Look and Location was really good. Its hotel room compact size which was disappointing, but in general In singapore mostly all hotels have compact rooms due to area of country, and that is not the problem for DTT(Babu Bhai and TT) Its your choice to have 40K per day to live in bigger size rooms in main areas. Over all We would really recommend DTT and Babu Bhai for Singapore Trip.
