How to Reach Temple of the Tooth in Kandy

Temple of the Tooth is one of the most sought-after tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. So, guests do not need to worry over how to reach Temple of the Tooth. You can reach the temple by bus, Tuk-Tuk, train or a cab.

By Bus: There are many intercity buses that take people to the closest bus stop near the temple. These buses are the most comfortable transport services available because all the buses are air-conditioned. You can alight at the nearest bus station to the lake which is at a distance of 5 minutes from the destination.

By Tuk Tuks: You can arrive at the Temple of the Tooth, Sri Lanka by means of Tuk Tuks that operate within the city. People who are already in the city need not do anything but climb onto a tuk-tuk for a fair price. Please discuss the price before the ride as that would be the amount that you would have to pay after the services are delivered.

By Train: If you are already in the city, you can board a train to the Temple of the Tooth. You can board a train from Colombo’s railway station and alight at the railway station in Kandi city. The ride usually takes approximately one hour if there are no interruptions in the journey.

By Car: Tourists can book or rent a car to reach the temple in a relaxed manner. The prices of the journey are decided before you start off so that you can avoid some unnecessary conflicts.

Out of the 3N/4D trip everything was wonderful except for the hotel on the 2 nd night. Absolutely not worth even half of the money we paid, bathroom smelling of urine, floor dirty, power lines close to window, no view, food aweful and cold, no privacy. I would rather book a trip by myself or other

Actually lot of times spent in car travel due to one place another place. Due to this reason unable to cover all place which written by agent.Hence it should be hectic. Rest hotel and other services upto satisfactory. Sea view and other sweet memories.

We had 7 night stay at 6 different hotels. We have asked and paid for 4 star hotel catagory. Thre hotels at Sigiriya, Seeduwa and Nuwara Eliya were not good. The hotel at Nuwara Eliya was of a home stay catagory. Agent should have booked better hotels.
