CLIMATE IN SRI LANKA

The climate of Sri Lanka is tropical and warm with high humidity hot weather. Average yearly temperature of upland areas is 16-20°C and that of coastal areas is 27°C.  Sri Lanka has two monsoons. Visit eastern coast of Sri Lanka during April to September and visit the west coast and central highlands during December to March. January to March is a great time to visit Sri Lanka due to its sunny weather. People who love beaches can visit Sri Lanka during December to April for South and West Coast and May to September for North and East Coast. LANGUAGE AND FESTIVALS IN SRI LANKA

Kandy Esala Perahera (July/August) is the most popular 10-day festival celebrated to honor the sacred tooth artefact of the Buddha.
