Mumbai to Coonoor by Air

At about 70 km, Coimbatore International Airport (CJB) is the nearest airport from Coonoor. IndiGo and Jet Airways run nonstop flights between Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai and Coimbatore. The direct flights take about two hours to reach Coimbatore from Mumbai. After landing in Coimbatore, travellers can take a bus or hire a taxi to Coonoor. Overall, it takes about 4 hours to travel from Mumbai to Coonoor by air.

Mumbai to Coonoor by Train

Coonoor is connected via Nilgiri Mountain Railway only. The nearest railway station from Coonoor is either Mettupalayam or Coimbatore. Toy trains run between Mettupalayam and Ooty via Coonoor. Mettupalayam station is about 35 km from Coimbatore Junction, which is served by trains on Southern Railways line.

Dadar Tirunelveli SF Express, Bikaner Coimbatore SF Express, Mumbai CSMT Kanyakumari Express, and Jabalpur Coimbatore Express are major trains from Mumbai to Coimbatore. After reaching there, one can take either toy train or a taxi from Coimbatore to Coonoor.

Mumbai to Coonoor by Road

The distance between Mumbai and Coonoor is about 1,215 km. So, a road trip from Mumbai to Coonoor is not the most convenient option for travellers, despite being a scenic road. Taking a train or a flight from Mumbai to Coonoor is a popular choice to travel. Road travel can be enjoyed along NH 181 which runs for about 20 km from Ooty to Coonoor

CAB and Driver is good, driver has planned the places well and covered as per Itinerary. On the way, he has also explained about the places while driving in Mysore and Ooty. Hotel Delightz Inn is ok only (Don't go for it if you're more than 2 Adults). Room is very tight with no chair to sit and p

lace the luggage, free breakfast is not that level as not much options when compared to others. Roopa elite is recommended hotel, breakfast is superb. After seeing the places and travel, hotels, trip seems bit costly. Time constraint to visit Ooty places Overall, felt that package is bit costly but went smooth from start to end

Most importantly Dream yatra do not pick call, they insist us to send whatsapp message only.I also raised all these concerns to traveltriangle in email but there is no response. I am giving rating as 10 since feedback is not getting submitted when i gave rating as 1. No good experience, it was a NIGHTMARE.

A big part of our enjoyable experience was thanks to our trip driver, Sunil, who was extremely professional throughout the journey. He ensured we covered all the places listed in the itinerary and even shared interesting insights about the destinations. His dedication and pleasant demeanor added great value to our trip. The resort we stayed at was another highlight of our vacation. Nestled amidst the serene woods, it offered stunning views that made for a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The food served at the resort was equally delightful, offering a wide range of flavors that satisfied our palate. However, while the trip itself was fantastic, I want to share some feedback regarding the booking experience. Our travel agent, Kishan from Bookitforgetit, was very proactive and responsive before we booked the trip. Unfortunately, after the booking was finalized, I found myself repeatedly following up for crucial details such as the hotel voucher, payment confirmations, and driver information. This lack of consistent communication and post-booking support was a bit disappointing. My humble request to Travel Triangle is to ensure that better customer service is provided after the booking process is complete. It’s crucial to maintain the same level of attentiveness throughout the entire experience. While the trip itself was great, the post-booking service left room for improvement. I hope this feedback helps improve future experiences for travelers like us.
