Chennai To Phuket Distance

|Chennai to Phuket||8.0 hours||-||-||-|
Chennai is a metropolitan city located on the eastern peninsular region of India. Though located in the south, the city has decent connectivity with all the other cities within the country as well as outside it. Though the best way to travel from Chennai to Phuket is by air, the information given below gives a detailed description on how to reach Phuket from Chennai:
By air: The best way to travel from Chennai to Phuket is by air as the rates are cheaper than other cities in India. A direct Chennai to Phuket flight can be boarded from the Chennai International Airport up to Phuket International Airport. Both the airports are well connected to the respective cities, and therefore, offer a time saving and convenient travel experience. Chennai to Phuket flight distance is around 2000km, and the flight duration from Chennai to Phuket can be around 7 to 8 hours. The fares are reasonable during the off-season and is great for budget travelers.
By rail: There are no direct trains from Chennai to Phuket. However, one can travel by trains after reaching Bangkok, Thailand. All the cities in Thailand have a well-connected railway network that is very well maintained and gives a nice traveling experience to the people, but Phuket, being an island has no such services. One can take a train to Singapore and then take a bus or ferry to Phuket.
By road: Reaching Phuket by road can be very tiring and time-consuming. Apart from this, one needs to have a high-budget for this. The Chennai to Phuket distance is around 5700km, and the route that one must take is Delhi- Myanmar- Thailand. There are many documents required for the same. Apart from the Thailand visa, one must have a Myanmar visa, and various other such documents. Traveling to Phuket by own transportation requires security money for the vehicle which is 200% of the vehicle’s total value. This makes the whole road trip plan from Chennai to Phuket expensive and full of hassles.

Hemarever's 3 days trip to PhuketIt was a nice trip to Thailand from November 28th to December 2nd 2019 . It was our first international trip customised in the caring hands of Gaurav from Tripaholic. We completely trusted Gaurav from the moment we spoke to him on the first day and it was completely worthy. He was always there for us from start till the day we returned home. It was a short trip to Phuket which was planned at the last moment. Gaurav had put in extra efforts to turn this trip to a joyful and memorable one. About Thailand(Phuket)...It is a wonderful tourist destination. Beaches and night life are the actual attractions. Food became an issue from the moment we landed in Bangkok. Gaurav later suggested us few Indian restaurants which saved our life. If not, we couldn't have stayed a day too. It was the same experience for all the Indians whoever we met during our trip. Hotel Stay: Bamanburi-Room was good, clean but the compliment arrangement which was requested was not provided. Phi Phi Island: The one day cruise, boat trip to monkey island and snorkelling was fun. The boat man was really friendly and helpful. Airport and other transfers: The cab drivers were friendly and punctual. Language: Thai people communicate with the tourist in English . But, they are not fluent in both understanding and speaking English which makes communication complicated. Gesture and Tone: Thai people from the moment we landed in airport are observed not to be so friendly with others except with tourists from G7 countries. Altogether, it was a good trip. I would recommend Travel triangle, Tripaholic, Gaurav and Thailand for everyone. And, we are 100% sure to come back again here for our next trip to make it a Value for money trip and which will not be Thailand, of course.
Poojachoudhury's 5 days trip to PhuketThis was our first international trip and we are glad that we selected travel triangle especially Ananta tours. Hemant from Ananta tours was very friendly and helpful. I went there with my parents and at first we were very apprehensive about the trip but everything was so well planned and managed by Hemant and his team. Whenever we faced any issues which was very rare, he was always available for help. Alcazar show was not included in our package but they offered us the same additionally which was really a delight. Moreover Ananta Tours has offered us many sightseeing places compared to other tour operators that too at the same rate. We have also customized our sightseeing package as well as hotels without paying any extra bucks. Thank u travel triangle and Ananta tours. Each and every trip with travel triangle is a delight. U never disappoint me. Every bit of the trip was awesome. But Coral Island and Safari World was exceptionally good.
Ashokdangwal's 8 days trip to PhuketTeam has given us support during the trip whenever required and made this journey beautiful.
Ishanm's 6 days trip to PhuketReviews of the arranged trip: Day 1: private vehicle was a 16 seater uncomfortable traveller bus but not the car from phuket airport to krabi hotel. Apple a day resort: Good to stay hotel. Can plan the stay again. Day 2: krabi 4 island tour: Lunch served was not good as compared to the other travellers, travelling with different tour services in Thailand. Overall tour experience was good except lunch. Day 3: krabi to Phuket transfer: through private car, comfortable journey. Centara blue resort- Resort property was huge but not managed/maintained properly, basic Amenities like room slippers were not even provided, there is safety concern for individual to roam alone, no proper lighting inside resort in night time, no CCTV monitoring in the individual buildings. Construction work was on going and not feeling safety for girls. Only water was available free inside room rest kept things were chargeable even a packet of chips was to be paid. No prior check was done on the property by TT Thailand team. Day 4: phi phi Island tour: nice overall experience, good tour service provider, good quality food served. Day 5: transfer from phuket hotel to airport- again the 16 seater cab. Overall ratings- 2.5 out of 5. Improvement needed- 1. We were not getting any information about the driver name, taxi number to match with, only we were informed the times to meet the person at lobby. Huge safety concern. 2. Least guidance to the travellers who are traveling, not even a single call made by TT team to actively understand the traveller needs.
Nitin's 6 days trip to Phuketits natural, and good thing is supportive and quick action staff
Indira gandhi international airport (del)
Gurinderjit's 5 days trip to PhuketI planned my last trip through travel triangle. It was just amazing with no hassles. But this time i faced problem regarding proactive communications from executives. We were 2 couples, planned this trip. But at last moment our itinerary got changed but not of other couple. Which created a great confusion. Also I needed to ask for everything. Although things were as planned. It was still a good experience. At Safari world
Rohit's 7 days trip to PhuketThe trip was good - right from airport pickup to the last destination. Local Trip coordinator Ms. Pum was very helpful and the whole trip was well organized. Cheers to Journey Routers for the amazing trip.
Priya's 6 days trip to PhuketI would like to thank each one for organizing this trip for us. We had lot of issues and some things went the other way, but appreciate your patience and all the help for the same. Khushboo - Thanks for coordinating so we'll. Also, a few suggestions: 1. Pls inform the hotel check in as we reached Phuket around 10:30to our hotel and the check in was at 2:00pm. If this was well adv booking, it should have been done and informed to us. 2. Leisure days can be cut down or may be discussed as in our 7day trip, we act had only 3days planned... Besides travelling we had a lot of time.
Babli's 6 days trip to PhuketHad a great experience with travel triangle. I have been booking my trips with travel triangle since last year and also will do in future. Looking forward for the next trip. Thank you travel triangle
Diksha's 7 days trip to PhuketHello, Travel 2 Agent. We are happily back after the Thailand trip and we’re quiet satisfied with your services. The guides were all good and the hospitality in Bangkok, Pattaya and Krabi were impressive. We were not really happy with that in Phuket. The hotel could be better there. The cabs were good and always punctual. Special thanks to Mr. Jatin Bhawsar, our trip planner for having explained us things well and planning the itinerary as per our needs. We are surely going to refer you to our friends and family for any further travel plans.
