What you pay from Ahmedabad depends on two things: whether you fly or take the road-and-rail route, and how many nights you spend in the hills. By train

Manali has no railway station. Take a train from Ahmedabad to Chandigarh or Kalka (an overnight superfast works well), then continue by road, roughly 310 km and 8-9 hours, to Manali. From Kalka you can also ride the scenic toy train up to Shimla if your package includes it.

By road
