Varun's 2 days trip to Goa

The second day 10 am, when the trip is about to get started the cab driver said that he has not given any confirmation from his manager. Then I have to call Farhan from travel triangle to know about the situation. Then he called his contacts at Goa and then cab driver got the confirmation. It would have been good if that small hiccup is avoided. Apart from that Farhan did very well regarding all the itinerary and arrangements.

Best time to visit the place

    Goa in Winters

The best time to travel to goa is during the onset of winters (November, December, January, February). The reason why one must choose winter is that during the summer the temperature reaches up to 40 degrees. The sand on the beaches keeps getting hotter. The salty water of the beach irritates your skin because of the heat. It is a coastal area so the weather remains humid every time during the summer. But this is the season for those who travel from a cold area and come here to soak the sun.

    Goa in Summers

Though in the morning the weather is hot but during the evening it gets pleasant. The best time in summers is the early morning beach walk. So one should go in the early morning or late evening as in the afternoon going to the beach can be risky. It is best to stay indoors to avoid sunburns and heatstroke.

    Goa in Monsoons

The season one needs to avoid is the monsoons. Right when June begins all the water sports are closed because the waves start getting high. One can still go to the beach but lifeguards will be present to tell you how far can you go inside.

This is the season when you do not have a crowd and can enjoy a very relaxing holiday. Because this is an off-season, one can get all the bookings is a much lower price than usual. This goes with shopping, tattoo making and casinos as well. The season is a hidden gem for people who have scorching heat during June and July. The smell of wet sand all around after tedious heat can be very relaxing.

    How to reach Goa

    By Air-

Many flights reach Goa. You will land at Dabolim International Airport (GOI) and then can take a cab to your hotel. For those people who are traveling internationally or distant place, might have to stop at Bangalore first. There are some direct international flights to Dabolim.

    By Rail-

It is well connected with most of the cities of India. Other trains come via Mumbai. Mostly all the train journeys are overnight journeys. Margao and Vasco-da-Gama are connected well with the Konkan railway, these stations are convenient and help in transient to places in Goa. The Southern Indian Railways also connect the good amount of routes for travelers in the South.

    By Road-

Traveling to Goa with a car or bus by road can be very happening and blissful. The in-state travel can only be good if one is traveling from Karnataka or Maharashtra. Because it is reachable and not a long journey. The routes that primarily connect Goa are NH-4 and NH-17 National Highways. If one opts for travel by bus, there are good amount of buses that connect especially from Bangalore, Mumbai, and Pune which will take about 12-14 hours of travel by road.

So traveling from Bangalore is very convenient citing that all three ways are essentially equipped for the travel.

Tips before you go to Goa

    • Always carry sunglasses and sunscreen for the hot weather. The skin tends to get itchy sometimes and the strong rays might affect your eyes.
    • Wear cotton clothes preferably because of the hot and humid climate. One must carry shorts or trousers (light fitted) to be comfortable.
    • You must carry swimwear for when you want to go to the beach or use the swimming pool in the hotel.
    • Carrying a Sarong along will make you feel comfortable or multi drape coverups to make your bag light when you are locally traveling.
    • To shun the sun, carry a hat along and use comfy footwear to make your walk easy.
    • Do not drink and drive.

Goa is one of the most happening places in India. Almost everyone dreams to go there. It is very fun and relaxing holiday place that has water sports, shopping, seafood and so many beaches around. You can go to a casino, get tattoos and have a lot of fun.
