Best Time To Visit Andaman

Summer in the Andaman Islands

Summers (April - June) are considered to be mildly warm, making it the perfect time to explore.

Summers are the best time to do activities like mangrove kayaking and sea walking.

Mangrove Kayaking in Mayabunder is one to be tried, the chirping of the birds and the serenity is absolutely glorious, making it the perfect way to reconnect with Nature.

With an abundance of activities to do here, scuba diving is not one to be missed if you visit the Havelock Islands. Another cherished activity is the Dolphin Glass bottom boat ride; it lets you get a glimpse of the fascinating marine life. It is available in Port Blair. Next up is Snorkelling; you wouldn’t want to miss an incredible chance to explore the fish and the plant species in the sea. It’s available in Elephant beach, Radhanagar Beach and Neil Island.

Radhanagar Beach, known for its white sand will be the most stunning you’ll ever see, go for a swim or take a sunbath and bask in its glory. Mud Volcanoes are one peculiar thing about the Andaman Islands, definitely check that one out. Oh, what to eat in the Andaman Islands? Tourists swoon over coconut prawn curry and the fish curry. Other food to try would be the Amritsari Kulcha, Barbeque food, and Chicken Tikka Masala.

Winter in the Andaman Islands

December and January are considered to be the best months to visit Andaman, although the prices hike up due to the onrush of tourists.

The best things to do during winter is watching the infamous Light and sound show in Cellular Jail, shopping and Beach Hopping.

Cellular Jail in Port Blair, a Historic Monument now is a proud display of the struggles of our freedom fighters. The light and sound show is a narration of India’s Freedom.

Parasailing is one exciting activity; don’t miss a chance to witness the mesmerising yet calm beaches of the Islands. Seaplane ride is alternate thing you can do; it starts from Neil island then Havelock Island and many more.

North Bay Island is one place you wouldn’t dare to miss, you’ll fall head over heels in love with this place, and it has all the fun water activities such as snorkelling, scuba diving, sea walking and many more.

There are various Museums built here such as the forest Museum, Anthropological Museum and Samudrika Museum; they can be an absolute treat to watch.

Monsoon in the Andaman Islands

Monsoon (July - September) are considered the worst time to visit the islands because of the heavy rainfall and the notorious tidal waves. Treks will get slippery and sea walking won’t be available. But if you’re one of those adventure types, well then you’ve got yourself a handful.

Rahul's 6 days trip to Andaman

the trip was bitter sweet. First the good : 1. Mr. rashid in port blair was extremely courteous and provided exceptional services. First day our itinerary had light show in cellular jail however the same could not be completed due to rainfall. however even without asking mr. rashid arranged the tickets on another day. Hotel de pebbles suggested by travel agency was very good . The owner there was extremely polite. 2. the resort at havelock was a beautiful property and photoshoot at radhanagar beach was very beautiful. Radhanagar beach was very beautiful and serene.. 3. Mr surojit at neil island provided good hospitality even while he himself was struck with fever. The bad: 1. Day 1 was disaster due to bad weather and poor maintenance/ arrangement of tourist spots by govt in port blair. 2. our seats in ferries from port blair to havelock and neil were in the middle thus offering no access to sea view. Seat selection by travel agency could have been better. 3. Due to bad road conditions , Natural bridge at neil was closed and all the sunset views were shrouded by clouds. Though if not for natural bridge (about which I don't know) i think one can skip neil island as there is nothing much to see here. The ugly: 1. The stay at pearl park beach resort at neil was disastrous. The staff as well as food at the resort there is pathetic. the resort is at a very good location. except for that evrything there is bad. the maintenance, cleanliness . This was further ruined by a very poor selection of rooms by travel agency. even though i explicitly told that i wanted a luxurious stay at havelock and neil, the rooms at neil were worse than any room i have ever stayed , including any oyo room. Radhanagar beach and sandy waves resort stay

Package booked via mytriplab. Some of the worthy destination were missing from itenary despite having a loosely packed schedule. Some of hotels have different kinds of room(sea-view/non sea-view, attached swimming pool) so the agents could be transparent in what types of room has been booked.

I booked my anadaman travel with them though online website called travel triangle for 7 day and 6 night with my wife and 6 month old baby. My experience with them is very good. The owner Anil itself came to pickup in airport. All booking taken care very well hassle free. They booked cruse as well with is green ocean which is open cruse must recommended. Havelock’s and niel hotel is also nice. Only thing is that weather is not that good during that time it was raining in December mid apart from that all is good. You guys can trust them they are genuine and also price is lesser than others.
