Why Choose a Kullu Manali Tour Package from Kerala

A tour package to Kullu Manali from Kerala is helpful because the journey is long and involves many steps. Booking everything on your own can be tiring and confusing. Here are the main reasons Kerala travellers prefer a package:

Easy long-distance planning: Travelling from Kerala to Himachal involves flights or trains and road travel. A package connects all parts smoothly.

One-stop travel solution: Flights or trains, hotels, transfers, and sightseeing are planned together. You do not need to book each thing separately.

Big weather change from Kerala: Kerala is warm and humid, while Manali is cool or cold. Packages help you plan the right season and stay.

Good for all age groups: From children to senior citizens, packages are designed to match comfort needs.

Fits all budgets: There are budget, standard, and premium options. You only pay for what you choose.

For the full generic category, see our Kullu Manali tour packages, or browse everything for your city on the Kerala departures hub.

How to Reach Kullu Manali from Kerala

Kullu Manali has no direct airport or railway station connected to Kerala, so every route uses a flight or train to North India and then a road transfer up into the mountains. The table below shows the realistic options, including the short flight into Bhuntar that most Kerala travellers do not know exists.

Mode Route from Kerala Approx time Last leg to Manali
Flight (fastest) Kochi / Trivandrum / Calicut to Delhi or Chandigarh Flight ~3h to 3h30 Delhi to Manali by road ~530 km, 12 to 14h; Chandigarh to Manali ~310 km, 8 to 9h
Flight + short hop Kochi / Trivandrum to Delhi, then Delhi to Bhuntar (Kullu-Manali Airport) Flight ~3h + hop ~1h30 Bhuntar to Manali ~50 km, about 2h by road
Train (budget) Kerala to Delhi / Chandigarh / Kalka by train About 40 to 50h Onward by Volvo or private cab to Manali

By Flight

This is the fastest and most popular option. A Kullu Manali package from Kerala by flight usually includes flights from Kochi, Trivandrum or Calicut, arrival at Delhi or Chandigarh, and a comfortable road transfer to Manali by private cab or shared vehicle. Flying saves a lot of travel time, keeps the trip easy for families and senior citizens, and suits short holidays and honeymooners. If you want to skip the long drive, ask for the Delhi to Bhuntar (Kullu-Manali Airport) hop and finish with a short 50 km road leg into Manali.

By Train

This option is good for travellers who want to save money and enjoy a long journey. A package by train usually includes the rail journey from Kerala to Delhi or Chandigarh, a pre-arranged road transfer to Manali, and hotels and sightseeing as planned. It costs less than flying and suits budget travellers and people who enjoy train journeys. The trip takes longer, so packages build in proper rest and transfers to keep it comfortable.

Last-Mile Travel to Manali

However you arrive, the final journey to Manali is by road. Whether you drive up from Delhi or Chandigarh, or land the short hop at Bhuntar and cover the last 50 km, this leg is a private cab or shared transfer in a clean, safe vehicle with a driver experienced in mountain roads. The route runs alongside the Beas river through hills and forests, and for most Kerala travellers this scenic drive is the first real mountain experience of the trip.

Best Time to Visit Manali from Kerala

Because you are travelling from a warm state and covering a long distance, timing matters more than it would for a nearby trip. Plan 5 to 7 days including travel, and pick the season that matches what you want to see.

Season Months What to expect Best for Kerala travellers
Winter (snow) Dec to Feb Snowfall, snow play at Solang, Atal Tunnel drive, cold days First snow experience, skiing, honeymoons
Spring / Summer Mar to Jun Pleasant 10 to 25 C, passes open, full adventure season Families and sightseeing, escaping the Kerala heat
Monsoon Jul to Sep Rain and some landslide risk on hill roads, green valleys Budget trips, flexible plans, fewer crowds
Autumn Oct to Nov Clear skies, light crowds, crisp air Photography and relaxed sightseeing

For snow specifically, aim for December to February. For paragliding, trekking and open passes, March to June is the sweet spot.

Package Durations and Prices at a Glance

Choosing the right length is one of the most important parts of planning. The table gives you a quick sense of what each duration covers and where prices start; the sections that follow explain each option in more detail.

Duration Best mode from Kerala What it covers From price, per person
4D / 3N Flight Manali local sightseeing, Hadimba Temple, Solang Valley Rs 11,499
5D / 4N Flight Manali, Kullu, Solang or Rohtang, Mall Road Rs 13,499
6D / 7D Flight or train Manali, Kullu, Solang, Atal Tunnel, day trips From Rs 18,000
7D / 9D extended Train or flight Manali plus a Shimla or Dharamshala add-on

Off-season and road-only (from Delhi or Chandigarh) itineraries can start lower, from about Rs 5,279 per person.

4 to 5 Days Kullu Manali Tour from Kerala

This short tour suits travellers with limited holidays who still want the best of the mountains. It focuses on the popular attractions while keeping the pace light: Manali local sightseeing including Hadimba Temple, Vashisht Temple and the Tibetan Monastery; leisure walks and shopping on Mall Road; a seasonal snow-point visit; and a relaxed hotel stay to recover from the travel. It is best for quick holidays, couples on a short break, and first-time mountain travellers.

6 to 7 Days Kullu Manali Package

This is the most popular and recommended option for Kerala travellers, with a balance of sightseeing, comfort and free time. Expect detailed Manali sightseeing without a rush, a day at Solang Valley for ropeway rides, snow play or paragliding by season, Kullu sightseeing along the Beas with markets and optional rafting, and enough leisure time to enjoy your hotel. A 6 to 7 day plan also leaves room for the drive through the Atal Tunnel to Sissu on a clear day.

7 to 9 Days Extended Himachal Tour

If you are travelling all the way from Kerala, an extended tour makes the long journey worth it. Alongside Kullu and Manali, you can add Shimla, Dharamshala or Manikaran, cover more of the valley at an unhurried pace, and fit in day trips such as Naggar or the Atal Tunnel. It suits families and groups who want one complete Himachal holiday rather than a quick dash.

What's Included in Kullu Manali Tour Packages from Kerala

When you book, it helps to know exactly what the price covers. Most Kullu Manali tour packages from Kerala include:

Return flight or train tickets (as selected): Round-trip travel from Kerala to Himachal by flight or train, with your dates, timings and connections shared in advance.

Hotel stay from budget to premium: Clean, comfortable stays from budget to premium, all checked for safety and hygiene.

Top Experiences and Places in Kullu Manali

Kullu Manali packages from Kerala mix snow, nature and relaxed time, so there is something for every age group.

Snow and the Atal Tunnel

Snow is the headline for anyone coming from a warm state. In winter you can play in the snow at Solang, ride up for white mountain views, and take endless photos. On a clear day, the drive through the Atal Tunnel, the long high-altitude tunnel that opens the way to Sissu and the Lahaul valley, is the modern Manali highlight and something almost no other Kerala package points you to.

Solang Valley and Adventure

Solang Valley is one of the most popular spots near Manali. Ropeway rides give you views over the whole valley, winter snow play is a hit with families and children, and the open mountain scenery makes it a fine place to simply sit and take it in.

Kullu Valley, Naggar and Local Sights

Kullu Valley is calmer and less crowded, with river views along the Beas and glimpses of local culture and daily life. Nearby you can add Naggar Castle, the old stone-and-wood palace above the valley, the Manu Temple in old Manali, Van Vihar by the river, and Nehru Kund on the Manali to Keylong road. Multi-day plans can also fold in Kufri on the Shimla add-on.

Leisure Time in Manali

Manali also gives you time to slow down. Cafes are perfect for resting over warm food, the local markets are good for souvenirs, and easy nature walks let you enjoy fresh mountain air and quiet.

Driver had not received payment as he was asked to collect payment in cash from me, however I had already done the final payment online the previous day. I had to make numerous calls to both Travel Triangle and North India tours to get things sort

Sudatta's 8 days trip to Manali

Overall, the trip was good. However driver assigned was not professional. At certain places there were rash drivings. Coming to the accommodation, the hotels were well chosen. Especially the one for manali and dalhousie were the best with mesmerising scenic views. However for the hotel in dharmashal
a, the room was not provided as agreed before the trip and we had to face a lot of issues. Overall, the trip was memorable. However, would suggest improvements in terms of assigning good drivers, since thats also an essential part of the trip. Accommodation for manali and dalhousie was too good. Solang valley visit was memorable.
