How To Reach
Zermatt is a no car zone, the only means of travel in this town is solar powered buses. The best way to explore the city is by buses or bicycles or by walking.
By Air:
The nearest airports to Zermatt are in Basel, Milan and Zurich. These international airports are well connected to other countries. You can take direct flights from New Delhi or Mumbai to any of these international airports. From there on you can take the train to Brig or you can directly reach Taesch and hire a taxi from there.
By Rail:
To directly reach Zermatt without changing your route is via train. The BVZ rail system offers a direct train starting from Brig and reaches Zermatt via Visp and Taesch. This train gives a picturesque journey to Zermatt, you can also see the Monte Rosa on your way to Zermatt.
By Road:
Since Zermatt is a no car zone you can just take your car till Taesch. From Tasch the 7km distance can be covered by train till Zermatt.

The best to visit Zermatt is from June to September, these summer months are the best time to explore this beautiful place.
Spring Season (March to May)
These months from March to May mark the spring season. The climate is quite cold, with temperature ranging from 4oC to 16oC. This is quite a good time to visit this beautiful place. During this time, there might be frequent showers, i.e. on an average 4-5 times per month.
Summer Season (June- September)
From June to August is the busiest period and may cost quite expensive, owing to the seasonal prices. The temperature hovers from 2oC to 17oC. From skiing, hiking and mountain biking, there are a number of other activities to do during this time of the year.
Fall Season (October to November)
