This place is known as the "gateway to northeast India". The major tourist attractions of Siliguri are the Iskcon temple, Dudhia, Sevoke kali mandir and the science city. Due to such attractions of the place, many of the tourists visit this place. This place is not only connected by its own international airport with the countries. Many travelers are like to make road trips to Siliguri because this place is connected with megacities via national highways.     Siliguri By Bus: Siliguri is connected with many of the other places via national highways. Through national highway 31, Kolkata is connected Siliguri, and NH 31A connects Gangtok with Siliguri. There are also some local buses that come from Patna and carries passengers to Siliguri. Therefore if you want to travel Siliguri by bus, then you must have to come to Kolkata to Gangtok, and from there you can directly arrive at Siliguri. However, on the bus, the passenger may experience the awesome scenic beauty of the journey, but in the case of the bus, there are some problems like bumpers. To avoid such problem the trains and airports are the best options to travel to Siliguri.

    The traveler can directly arrive at the Siliguri by aerial transport because this place has its own international airport. Hence the traveler has to visit Bagdogra airport. It is because this is the nearest airport to Siliguri. Bagdogra is 15 minutes away from Siliguri. Hence the tourists can take local taxes on rickshaws from the airport and reach the place easily.

    There is no railway stations in Siliguri. Therefore to travel via train the travellers need to visit the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) station which is the nearest railway station to Siliguri. The distance between New Jalpaiguri station from the main city of the Siliguri is 8 km. from new Jalpaiguri station the travellers can book rickshaw, cabs or locals buses to arrive into Siliguri. The most famous trains that pass the NJP station are the Karmabhoomi Express, Ranchi express, Kanchan Kanya express and Mahananda Express. Those trains connect many of the cities in India with NJP. An attraction of the Siliguri is the Toy train. Many of the passengers are also like to take a ride on the Toy train and visit the other hill stations like Darjeeling, kurseong etc.

    Siliguri is connected with the metropolitan cities with the national highways. From Kolkata, the traveler can make a road trip by NH 34 and NH 31. NH 34 not only connects the Kolkata only rather the traveler from Delhi, Agra, and Allahabad can also make the road trip to the Siliguri by this road.
