Best Time To Visit Sydney
Plan your trip during best season to experience the best of this stunning destination
The best time to visit Sydney is from September to November and from March to May, as the weather is quite pleasant and excellent for outdoor activities and sightseeing purposes during this time. Also, the prices for airlines and hotel booking are also lower than usual, which makes the trip easier on your pocket. However, because of Australia’s geographical location in the southern hemisphere, the weather in Sydney is quite opposite to weather in the northern hemisphere. This is why Australia is famously the one country that celebrates Christmas in the summer.
Let’s have a look at the below month-wise segregation to decide the best time to visit Sydney.
The period of March to May enjoys a shortfall or autumn as the temperature in Sydney is mild and pleasant for traveling. Moreover, the place gets less occupied and prices a little less spiking. One can beat the slight chill in the wind with a light shrug or jacket.
It is a good time to stroll around the harbor and enjoy ferry rides.
June - August (8°C-19°C):
From June to August, there is winter in Sydney. However, the cold is not much, especially for people -who are traveling from Europe or America. And since this is the offseason in Sydney, you can enjoy really low prices at both flight tickets and hotel rents.
Get an opportunity to attend the Sydney Opera Show, Sydney Winter Festival and do a lot of exciting things to add enticing memories to your life.
September - November (16°C-20°C):
September to November is the best month to visit Sydney while enjoying outdoor activities like cycling and bushwalking. During this time, there is spring in the country, which means Sydney will have clear skies and crisp weather. The heat starts to crawl into the air, but it is still a little time to go before the summer months.
December - February (22°C-27°C):
Weather in Sydney during the month of December is the hottest, which might seem uncanny to those coming from the northern hemisphere. This is the peak season for visiting Sydney, thus, hotel stays are quite packed and the beaches are crowded.
If you are going for water activities, this is just the perfect time. Otherwise, if you are looking for peaceful traveling, maybe you should wait till spring.

Climate in Sydney
Summer Season in Sydney
Sydney experiences a subtropical climate; hence does not show an extreme change of seasons. Summers here are warm and humid and perfect for beachfront activities. The waves are bigger and ideal for surfing, and the waters are more transparent to enjoy snorkelling or diving.
Monsoon Season in Sydney
Monsoons in Australia are not very prominent. Sydney gets scattered rainfall throughout the first half of the year. The wettest months are January, February, March, April and June. November gets some occasional rainfall as well.
Winter Season in Sydney
Sydney experiences mildly cold winters. There is a chill in the air and swimming is not preferred by most because of the cold. But other activities like local sightseeing, shopping, dining and wining – all can be done perfectly.

Trip to SydneyIt was a great tour organised by Travel triangle. Everything gone very smooth without any trouble. Hotels in Sydney and Gold Coast were excellent, hotel in Melbourne was average. Itinerary provided was very informative and helpful. Arranged local transportations were very comfortable. In the end I would like to thank to Travel triangle and Fantabulous which was the tour travel agent for making my trip memorable. Great ocean trip was the best memory of the trip.
Trip to SydneyWe are the widely traveled senior citizens chose to visit Australia and covered Melbourne, Gold-Coast, Cairns and Sydney. The services of Travel Triangle & Fantabulous are great in general and the interactions with Ishita & Narendar is really superb. Appreciate Ishita's patience and cool handling of demanding customers like me. Narendar is meticulous. But, Travel Triangle/Fantabulous need to go a long way and required to improve & innovate the "Flight-Booking-System and Method" without hurting or taxing both sides.
Trip to SydneyI could customize my trip and also everything was as per plan and hassle free. i have only one suggestion- Please aware customer about the Visa deadlines when you yourself bear the cost. It costed me more and risk of not meeting deadline was faced just because of lack of communication on time. Also the victoria hotel in melbourne is good. But my experience with Novotel Rockford hotel in sydney was not good.
Trip to SydneyHi, it was our first foreign trip to Australia through Travel Triangle agent (Wanderbird Holidays) and if i tell you in one word than it was awesome. There was deflection from what was provided in the itinerary at he time of booking. hats off to Raunak, he convinced us with his great knowledge and skill and explained each and every information. he is friendly too, so there was no hesitation in asking what we dont know. our Australia tour includes three destination Gold Coast Melbourne and Sydney. the transfer facility at each airport was will recognizable and there was no confusion for us being the first time visitor. Novotel at gold coast was Avg. hotel however Crown Promenade at melbourn was awesome. At Sydney we were a little disappointed with the Rendezvous hotel, and this should be worked on . over all it was an excellent experience and worth spending through WanderBird Holidays. Thansk a lot Raunak, this trip will never be forgotten and same goes with the wander bird..
Trip to SydneyNice trip. Well organised. Proper feedback from travel company during travel. All things were properly managed. Surfer paradise good place to visit. Cairns Also very good. Sydney is amazing. Australia is best.
Trip to SydneyIt was a good trip customised to our requirement, with good hotels and planned itinerary chalked out by pick your trail, with perfect timings. Only I think the support group needs to more active, also the support group works from 7 am to 10 PM as per indian timings, but the timings in Australia are different, so they should work according to Australian timings for the guest who are on the trip Sydney Opera House and harbour Bridge
Trip to SydneySydney boulevard hotel was not upto standard. We requested for vegetarian breakfast to Mr. Wasim at reception. First he showed his reluctance and then he said he would try. Next day at restaurant, we were informed that they did not receive any request from the reception. However chef was very cooperative and he prepared veg. meal. Everything else was excellent Many, hot air balloon, great barrier reef, bridge climb, everything was just great
Trip to SydneyI am overall not satisfied with travel agent services. In the digital world, it is easy to book everything of its own. Despite this I had to engage with them at every step from booking hotel to flights to sight seeing to make sure that all overall experience be smooth. For flight bookings, small things like timings of the flight (to maximise time at Sydney) were not taken care. They didn't even book meals !! Being vegetarian I had to face issues in international flights. Worsely for one of the domestic flights, my luggage was not included in the price. I had to shell out 150 AUD additionally at the last moment !! I was not given any guidelines for baggage allowance and restricted items limit, as a result I had to loose so much important stuff during security checking. In hotels, both hotels of my choice got missed out and I had to pay so much extra amount for the left over high end room categories. Also I was not satisfied with the initial proposal of Sydney hotels (not enough thought is given into these things unless told). In sight seeing, one of my tours was not delivered as promised. I had to additionally pay approx 120 AUD for those things due to mis management from the travel agent side and despite mentioning about those discrepancies, action has not been taken. What went well ? - I found the team good in terms of having knowledge about the places and site seeing activities to visit based on occasion. The team went above in terms of explaining how things work whenever we had any booking issues and make any adjustments. The team cooperated by sharing extra amount that I had to pay for higher end hotel. Overall I am not satisfied with this model especially in the digitally informed age. There is no control in user experience once someone reaches there, you are mostly on own. Especially in international travel, when some one is spending so much money, I do not see enough value for money and time.
Trip to SydneyWe did not like the arrangements at all. They could have been much better planned and executed if they would have thought about their customers even a bit. After hundreds of calls, messages and emails from my husband, the final vouchers were handed to us 8 hours before our flight.. we did not even have time to take a careful look at them.. The sightseeing tours were not selected thoughtfully. Most of the sightseeings were at max 1.5 hours long and repititive like the Skydeck in Melbourne, Skypoint in Gold coast, Harbour cruise in Sydney, etc.. and then the entire day was left free, which is good for some days but not all days which was the case with us. Better sightseeing tours should have been planned. We had to book several additional sightseeing tours on Viator.com so as to be able to experience Australia.. If we would have followed only the itinerary prepared by the agent, we wouldn't even have seen a Kangaroo or Koala Bear even after spending so much money and staying for 10 days in Australia.. It was evident that the cheapest of sightseeing tours available were booked for us, for example, the cruise in Sydney was an hour long and consisted of us just sitting on a ferry and seeing the harbour without anyone telling us what we are seeing.. It was a complete waste of time, we got much more information while riding on Ferries for our visit to the zoo that we booked separately.. No pickups from our Hotels were arranged even when complimentary pickups were available with the tours booked.. No directions were provided to us regarding where to reach and how.. No information on local transport available and how to travel was provided.. We know how Google Maps work and therefore got to the specified locations, however, any aged or not so tech savvy travellers would have missed their tours repeatedly.. It was a total chaos. On top of all that, this was my husband's birthday trip and he had told this to the agent several times, but they were not even courteous enough to book us a cake.. The agent wished a very Happy Birthday to my husband on Whatsapp though.. The rooms booked for us in Sydney didn't have complimentary breakfast and were so small that there was hardly any space to stand apart from the queen bed that was provided to the 2 of us.. The upgrades were available starting at just Rs. 1500 per night but they booked us the cheapest option so that they could pocket as much money as possible.. We felt cheated time and again during the entire trip. We will never travel with HubHolidays again and would suggest others too not to make that mistake..
