About Musical Park in Vienna
The Musical Parks and Gardens are mostly positioned at the heart of Vienna and it provides the people with a break from city life. It provides tourists with a wide variety of flowers, especially roses along with the historical melodies and monuments of famous musicians and composers. Some of them are:
Stadtpark
It is one of the ideal places where one can have a souvenir photo with the golden memorial of John Strauss. The monuments of Franz Lehar, Franz Schubert, Robert Stolz, a marble statue of Hans Makart are also present in the musical park. The Stadtpark also has the bronze made busts of Vienna Mayor, Anton Bruckner, and Andreas Zelinka along with the others who had governed the layout of the very park. It is one of the richest musical parks for sculptures and monuments in Vienna. It is the first public park in Vienna which was inaugurated in 1862 followed by the demolition of the city’s old wall. The location is equal to a great oasis, boasting the rich cultural heritage and history of the place through the statues of famous musicians. The park is generally quiet with interesting statues, a peaceful pond and some vibrant woodpeckers and all of them together make the park a place worth visiting.
Volksgarten and Burggarten
Volksgarten provides the opportunity to witness the monument of Sisi. On the other hand, the fans and lovers of Mozart can get the chance of visiting the genius’s statue at Burggarten. The place was previously Franz Joseph I’s private garden who was the Emperor. He was Empress Sisi’s husband. The well renowned Butterfly House is also quite famous in the place sheltering hundreds of species of exotic butterflies and along with it, one can also get to enjoy the atmosphere of the coffee house along with the other restaurants that are available at the place.
City Hall Park
One of the other Parks in the city that is worth visiting is the City Hall Park, arranged symmetrically between the Parliament and the University. The City Hall Square divides the two halves of the same park. Various events of arts and music get hosted in the City Hall Square throughout the whole year. Some of the most renowned events are the Music Film Festival that is usually held in the summer and the Vienna ice Dream held during the winter.
