About Changangkha Lhakhang in Thimphu
Changangkha Lhakhang Bhutan, built in the 12th-century temple, is the oldest temple in Bhutan and has been visited daily by the locals for the past 800 years. Although the exact date or year of its foundation is unknown, history of Changangkha Lhakhang suggests Phajo Drugom Zhigpo as the person who also founded the Drukpa Lineage carried on by his son Nyima. The temple is situated 2.5 km away from the Thimphu clock tower and presents a magnificent view of the town walking around the pilgrim path also known as the back kora. It is a common practice for the town people to circle around the temple on the pilgrim path during the evening. There are prayer bells outside the temple with black and gold script, and two giant prayer wheels decorate the entrance to the inner sanctum. The temple houses the statue of Thousand-armed Avalokitesvara and large size sacred scriptures.
The Changangkha Lhakhang temple is rooted deep into the local culture and customs and is an indispensable part of the local community. The locals visit the temple to seek the blessings of deity Tamdrin for their children and ask the resident monks to name their newborn kids. One can offer Ngultrum, snacks, biscuits, incense, and whiskey in exchange. The Changangkha Lhakhang temple has been lit from below by the Bhutan Power Corporation with white lights giving the upper wood walls an orange colour, and the window recesses are lit by artery red lights.

Trip to BhutanTravel to Bhutan with Bhutan Inc was a wonderful experience. Bhutan is a beautiful country with amazing people. We had booked our flights on our own and with help of Travel Triangle finalized Bhutan inc as our agent. We interacted with Mr.Hari who was available anytime and answered all our queries, adjusted our hotels as per our needs. On reaching Paro airport, we were picked up by Mr. Rinchen in Hyundai H1, which we requested. He was very very helpful throughout our trip, took good care of us. Hotel Namseling in Thimphu was very good and close to the craft bazaar. Rooms were neat and breakfast good, more than that the people running the hotel were amazing. In Punakha we stayed at Damchen resort in a beautiful location on banks of a river. However the food was not good, especially breakfast. We stayed at Soenam Tsokhang resort in Paro. It was located far from Paro but rooms were good, food was very good and again amazing people are running the place. They took care of us very well. I would recommend travelling to Bhutan with Bhutan inc.
Trip to BhutanThe driver who was assigned to us had no information of the places. He was supposed to be driver cum guide but he was clueless of the places and he had no idea of the itenery provided to us. So far bad experience in terms of driver survice provided by travel triangle. We had to ask local people for the places mentioned in our itenery as driver told us nothing about the place or museum (not even the basic open or close timings) We did trek to tiger nest, though it was hectic the view was worth the climb.
Trip to BhutanThe services were good. For some reason, I was charged about INR 50 extra every time I made payment to Travel Triangle. I requested the executive to check but i never received any response.

Trip to BhutanI was bit skeptical when I booked through Sunshine travels but trip surely went amazing. Sunshine agents Lalit and Sanju were polite and co-coordinating trip throughout. Even though when we asked to make itinerary changes last minute they happily made changes. Pre- trip doubts were cleared right away. driver was polite and well behaved. Hotels were really good, however we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Wangchuk, Thimpu more. Hotel locations were perfect so that we were able to explore cities on our own after sightseeing. We are very glad that Sunshine travels considered our requirements while booking hotels. I would totally recommend them. Sincere gratitude for amazing experience !
Trip to BhutanAll amenities provided by the travel operatorare reasonably very good. Hotels provided in Thimphu & Paro not acceptable. Trip to BhutanOne of the best trips ever had. Well co ordinated and implemented travel package by Golden vacation. Right from the moment of landing at Bagdogra airport we felt we were taken care of by the best team. Will give 10/10 to our cab driver Mr Anup who knew the pulse of his Travellers Since we were a three member ladies group was always apprehensive of the safety point of the trip .but the assurances of the travel co ordinator Mr Debendra was never a market gimmick . We were taken care in the best possible manner. The rooms we were allotted at Hotel golden resorts at Paro was the best as we could see Tigers nest sitting in our room . Tku travel triangle and tku golden vacation. We will definitely plan more vacations with u
