Chhatrapati Shivaji International airport (BOM) is the main airport in Mumbai to board the flight to Indira Gandhi International airport in Delhi (DEL). Traveling by air from Mumbai to Delhi is definitely the best option. It is convenient, faster and economical if you book in advance. It is easier to reach the main city from the Shivaji Chhatrapati terminal. Mumbai to Delhi flight duration is usually 2hr 05 min. It may vary depending on the airline. There are a number of taxis and cabs available outside the airport. Hire in advance to enjoy a private transfer. Some of the best airlines on this route are Spicejet, Vistara, IndiGo, AirAsia, GoAir, etc. Mumbai to Delhi by flight distance is around 1163 km.   

 

Mumbai to Delhi by Train -

If you wish to travel from Mumbai to Delhi by train, plan a vacation in advance and book your tickets ahead of time. Currently, 34 trains run between Mumbai and Delhi. Reserve a seat according to the availability of the train. Mumbai to Delhi by train takes around 23 to 29 hours to complete a distance of approx. 1373 km. Darshan Express, Mumbai Bandra - Dehradun Express, Mumbai Central - Firozpur Janta Express, etc are some of the trains running from Mumbai to Delhi. 

 

Mumbai to Delhi by Road -

The Mumbai to Delhi distance by road is approximately 1427 km. To cover this distance, a time duration of more than twenty-four hours is required. It will be quite hectic to cover such a large distance by road. 

 

By Car: However, if you are fond of traveling by roads, book a personal SUV or so, and head towards Delhi from Mumbai. It will take around 25 hours to cover a distance of approx. 1427 km. The journey can be quite tedious and expensive at the same time.

 

By Bus: There are no direct government buses running from Mumbai to Delhi. However, a number of buses operated by local agencies are available which takes around 25 to 31 hours to cover the entire journey. The price varies on the type of bus you book and from which agency, usually, it costs somewhere between INR 1400 to INR 2600.

Prosenjit's 5 days trip to Delhi

The Hotel (Sita International) which was booked for us in Delhi was not at all Good., simply pathetic. So, it's strictly recommended not to visit or book any room at Sita International in New Delhi (Near to New Delhi Railway Station). The hotel was booked by the travel agency & the name of the Hotel is Sita International. But there is no sign of international standards & quality of that Hotel. They're using that "International" tag only for business that's it. The "deluxe room" they provided to us (Me, my wife & my 5-year-old son) is a remarkably simple ordinary one- or two-star category hotel room. The blanket they provided to us was torn. For reference please I've attached pictures of that blanket. The button under the shower in the bathroom was broken. Now after sharing all the information in reception, the hotel people behaved very casually & asked me to adjust. I informed my travel agent (Back to Holiday) regarding the issue, and my travel agent confirmed that in the evening they'll change my room but after returning from sightseeing the hotel said, "Room change is not possible because all rooms are booked". So, this is the situation I faced during my travel on the very first day (14.10.24). And in the morning The Hotel owner talked with me on the phone & told me that I made a quite simple issue into a big issue. So after paying advance to the travel agency, I faced this kind of situation. Last but not least, in the morning I found RAT in that room. And they're called it's an International Hotel. So strictly & Strictly recommended before booking anything think twice. Yes, after that remaining two Hotels are good (Gurukripa @ Mathura and Royal View @ Jaipur) & as per the standard, especially the last one (Royal View at Jaipur- 3-star category Hotel) .... Now regarding Cab. The Cab driver has a huge setting with all the guides in each & everywhere (Agra, Mathura, Jaipur) .... Directly & indirectly, he forced us to hire a guide so that he could earn a commission. And you'll not deny it because, in the middle of the tour, it's very risky & not at all safe. The driver has a very good local connection & I was traveling with my wife & my 5-year-old son. If I refused to hire a guide, he could have done anything locally because of his local connection & we're very new in that area. When at Jaipur we told that driver we don't require any guide he told me during travel maybe we'll face problems. Now in that situation what do you do? So as per his recommendation, we're forced to hire a guide as per the driver's choice, and we paid him Rs. 800 as decided by the driver (The normal government guide charge is Rs. 400).... So, if you'll travel along with your family (Like wife & son) you've got to accept all the terms & conditions of the driver because he has a strong local connection & you don't have that connection. Not only that, the driver will take you to some local shops where he has a good connection & if you buy something from that shop the driver will get a commission. Even on this trip, our driver took some local shops in Agra where he has a commission-based connection. Otherwise, he was not interested in taking you to some local shops where he'd not get any commission.

And drivers view best hotel means high paid hotels. And small request you must provide room for drivers and also observe car parking Every thing is best memory, aditya sir is so good

Ashok country resort Hotel which was provided in delhi was not upto 4 star standards, doesnt have any restaurants near by. It looks like an extension area. Hotels in Agra and Jaipur were good. Driver Shiv Ji was too friendly and very supportive through out the Journey. Overall it was a good time spent except the hotel experience standard in Delhi.

Agent denied to take the cab ahead as the balance payment was pending we told him that we will make it once we reach the hotel. We were not informed that car AC cannot be used in Pahadi areas. Driver was not local most of the times we were checking the distance on Google. Overall Okay experience

Geyser is not working in hotel room amer valley in jaipur, but its good that they have arranged the alternative electricity heater, make sure this won't be frequent scenario's. Coming to driver he is a good person with polite behaviour but coming to work level he needs to improve he is not sure of the routes which caused a lot of delay sometimes , it would be great if you can arrange driver with good knowledge on routes for respective trip plan. Which saves both driver and our time instead of leading to wrong route.
