April - July (Summer):

Escape the scorching summer heat, and hop on an excursion to McLeodganj to have a soothing experience. With temperatures ranging between 22 to 32 degree celsius, the summer season offers quite a respite to its visitors. Moreover, besides sightseeing, this period is also a great time to enjoy trekking through the Triund Hill and Indrahar Pass and explore flora and fauna.

July - September (Monsoon):

The monsoon season arrives between the months of July and September in McLeodganj. With an average annual rainfall of 350 cm, and the temperature ranging between 18 to 22 degree celsius, a visit during this period offers scenic landscapes to cherish. Though, heavy rainfall may lead to extreme inconvenience. However, if you are an offbeat traveller, you  may opt to take a tour at the beginning or the end of the season when the region receives quite low rainfall, and have a thrilling experience.

October - February (Winter):

If the winter season excites you, then you may opt for a McLeodganj tour package in between the months of October and February. Though, the region experiences snowfall and frigid weather from December to February. Choose to explore the city at the beginning of the season. However, if you may also extend your visit until February to experience the snow-clad suburb, when the temperature hovers around 9 degree celsius and the mercury drops to about minus 1 degree celsius. This period is also perfect to catch some festivals there, like the International Himalayan Festival, Himachal Winter Carnival, Lohri and Halda, or the Tibetan New Year.
