How to Reach McLeodganj in Dharamshala

Taking a Volvo bus from Delhi is one of the popular ways for those wondering how to reach Mcleodganj. A Delhi to Mcleodganj bus via Chandigarh takes about 10-12 hours to complete the journey. The town is located in Kangra District in Himachal Pradesh. The distance between Mcleodganj and Dharamsala is 10 km and from Mcleodganj to Shimla is 240 km by road.

How to Reach Mcleodganj by Air: The Kangra Airport in Gaggal is the nearest airport from Mcleodganj. It is served by regular SpiceJet flights from Delhi. The airport is about 17 km south of Mcleodganj. Taxi rentals are available at the airport.

How to Reach Mcleodganj by Road: The distance between Mcleodganj and Delhi by road is about 477 km while Mcleodganj and Chandigarh are 250 km apart. Government and private buses run between Delhi and Mcleodganj. Tourists can take overnight Volvo buses from ISBT Kashmiri Gate in Delhi to reach Mcleodganj.

How to reach Mcleodganj by Train: Board a train from Delhi to reach Pathankot. Tourists can take a memorable ride along the Kangra Valley Railway which passes through Kangra. Travelers can hire a cab or take a bus from Kangra to Mcleodganj which is roughly 24 km away.
