How to Reach Chail in Solan

By Road: Chail is roughly 86 kilometres from Kalka by Kandaghat. Chail is approachable through the Kalka-Shimla route via Kandaghat. From Kandaghat, its a two hour drive to Chail. Both private and government buses run frequently between Chail and the neighbouring cities.

By Train: Although there are no direct trains to Chail, however if you wish to travel by train then the most feasible option is to get to Kalka railway station which is 81 kilometres away from Chail. Chail’s location is such that there is another way to get to the destination. You can take the toy train that plies between Kalka and Shimla, get down at Kandaghat which is 86 kilometres away and take a taxi. Make sure you always carry a Chail map with you.

By Air: Another way to get to Chail is by flight. The nearest airport is in Shimla which is 62 kilometres away from Chail. Another way is to get to Chandigarh airport which 117 kilometres away and then take a cab.
